G60 Corrado - Barn find but how much to offer?
borachris replied to Craig Lovelock's topic in General Car Chat
Without seeing it and going by your description I'd say £300-£400 at the most, restoring an example like that to even a half decent standard will cost you thousands! -
What are the ones you have? If they're like these ones they should be fine http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=191233856774 If they are like these ones below I would buy the ones above http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271178298309

As long as you get the correct centre bore, 57.1mm then a non hubcentric 3mm should be ok, it's the cheap multi fit ones that are crap. Anything over 5mm and you should be using hubcentric ones.

I've used them numerous times years ago and was always pretty happy with them for the price tbf

Google pictures of the reservoir and pictures of the master cylinder, it'll all become clear. But as has been said you can't just pull it and move it a bit, you would need to remotely mount it somewhere else using pipes.

There were some of these on eBay the other week, not sure if they are still on there I'll have a look
-
This is fitted in the correct way And just to give you all a giggle this is how I tried to fit it whilst hungover, took me a good 10 mins to figure out I had the bracket upside down lol
-
Took these before I fitted mine, the magnex supplied bracket is attached in the pics too.
-
Yours looks like it has had part of the hanger cut off or straightened out, it should be an 'L' shape, like Jim has said though you really need the correct magnex bracket to mount it correctly. A half decent exhaust place should be able to knock up something that'll do the job.

Errmm I'm not sure tbh lol I'll have to check at the weekend and get back to you mate

Advice required please on Shock absorber fitting

Spark plug socket with a spanner on it and the Allen key through the hole on the top does it for me :) -
Maybe he's lost a few kg's to rust over the years lol

Having a bit of a sort out of stuff I no longer need, will have a few more bits to add tomorrow probably http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/cjman17/m.html?item=171082535422&pt=UK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM&hash=item27d55051fe&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562&clk_rvr_id=810578909343&rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http%253A%252F%252Frover.ebay.com%253A80%252Frover%252F1%252F710-53481-19255-0%252F1%253Ftype%253D4%2526campId%253D5337012643%2526toolId%253D10001%2526customId%253Di87p8h5mjh0024ge00003%2526mpre%253Dhttp%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.ebay.co.uk%25252Fsch%25252Fcjman17%25252Fm.html%25253Fitem%25253D171082535422%252526pt%25253DUK_Home_Garden_PowerTools_SM%252526hash%25253Ditem27d55051fe%252526rt%25253Dnc%252526_trksid%25253Dp2047675.l2562%2526srcrot%253D710-53481-19255-0%2526rvr_id%253D810578909343

I can't recommend these enough, with my old ones, despite having a brand new cable fitted I was always just waiting for something to break every time I opened the bonnet! Now the bonnet opens so smoothly without any undue noises or pressure in the handle. I really was amazed at the difference! Cheers Ian

Received today, thanks very much Tom :)
-
Sorry just read that again and you thought the miltek was too bulky so the magnex will be a bit big for you too!
-
Hi Dan, been a while, hope you are well :) I've got a magnex system on mine and I think it suits the opening very well It's not overly noisey, in fact it's a bit too quiet imo so I'm going to be get Paul at Evans Performace to make a section up to replace the middle box. If you can get just a rear silencer it might be worth getting him to make the rest of the system for you, I know a couple of people who has used him and been very happy! If you have FB his page is EvansPerformance Longlife Middlesbrough, lots of pics of his work on there.

Might help if you say what engine you have :)
