  1. Don't take my withdrawel the wrong way John. Tbh I hadn't really thought of what the kit would contain, I was only really budgeting for discs, the caliper relocation carriers and brake flexi's. Obviously the other work involved bumps up the price significantly and at the moment, considering I'm still running standard front brakes, I really can't justify spending so much on the rear. Still something I would consider in the future though, good luck with the group buy :)

    Corrado vr6

    Like you can talk
  3. Yeah postage is often a deal killer, especially for a glass roof! Deffo let me know, might spur me on to do mine!!
  4. Hit the nail on the head! My last corrado was supposed to be a 2.0 16v 9A, I didn't realise until after I'd taken the engine out and sold it that it was actually a 1.8 16v KR, well I say I realised, I didn't it was the guy who bought it when he pulled the head off and cc'd it. He wasn't happy but we came to an arrangement lol
  5. I've used them before and loads of people have recommended them to me too.
  6. I wouldn't be too disheartened, yes it's not the original engine, but it's still a VR, and the corrado it's in looks a million times better than the mk3 it came from ;)
  7. I don't think that's a bad price tbh mate, seen them sell on eBay for £80. I think I paid £45 for mine. Hope it fits ok. I will say that he does know his vw's so I'd be pretty happy to take his word for it if it was me :)

I thought you sold that months ago?? Or is this another one?
  10. Sorry guys, too rich for me. It does look like a great kit though!
  11. http://www.vwspares.co.uk This one?
  12. Welcome, hope the corrado treats you well
  13. Was that the one from Saltburn mate? It's a lad off my local forum I think, Danny? He had it for sale on there for £100. I've got a passat one I've been planning on fitting for the past few years, never seem to get it done lol
  14. I've done similar before mate! Basically the full thing, just unbolted from the boot. Came out of the VR I've just broke, all tested before removel. I'll sort a picture out in the morning :)
  15. I've replied in the other thread you've brought back from the dead lol I have what you need, will send some pics if you want, £40 posted.
  16. This thread is almost a year old lol I've got a full motor/mechanism if the OP has sold his though

    VR6 Badge

I sold a used red one to a guy in France, nearly £90 including postage! Got a silver one to go on eGay when I sort all the spares out!
  18. I've seen that one on eBay recently, seems a good spec and looks good in the pics, hope it's a nice one for you :)
  19. I thought that if the sliding mech on the sunroof was actually broken you had to take the roof out to remove the panel, sorry if I'm wrong and that's not the case? Also If the track is broken then surely the manual Allen key winding won't work either?
  20. I've recently removed a sunroof from a corrado I broke, the sunroof can still be easily removed even if the slide function isn't working. The headlining needs to come out, then the actual roof is held in by maybe 8 bolts iirc, be careful with the drainage pipes on each corner, the ones on the one I removed seemed a bit brittle, although I managed not to break them. It's not a difficult job but will take a few hours to do it carefully without breaking anything lol
  21. Thanks Fay, I should've took a before picture but I wasn't expecting it to clean up so well! I had a read up on here today and it seems most people think the magnex is a good choice :)
  22. I'll be fitting this tomorrow but I was pretty chuffed with my discovery so I'm posting this now lol Cleaned the manky, horrible, knackered looking exhaust I took off the Rado I broke! Turned out to be a Magnex, and not knackered at all!
  23. I've just been paid today and already the disposable part of my income is dwindling fast, insurance, tax and MOT already. Not to mention bloody school uniforms! But for a good price i'll always do my damndest to scrape the cash together lol. And i'd love to lose the crappy rear bearings.
