borachris replied to borachris's topic in Parts for Sale
I'll take some pics of mine in the morning mate, I've not had a chance today. Pics are in the groupbuy thread (link in my first post), I have the carbon fibre one piece scuttle cover/tray and the carbon fibre one piece lower Windscreen trim. Both are right hand drive versions. Links to spoonfed shop http://spoonfedtuning.myshopify.com/products/corrado-carbon-fiber-rhd-one-piece-lower-windshield-trim http://spoonfedtuning.myshopify.com/products/corrado-rhd-rain-tray-carbon-fiber Cheers -

I've made the decision to sell my project so my carbon fibre trims are for sale if anyone is interested. Ad is in the for sale section -
Selling my spoonfed goodies as I'm giving up on my tdi project due to lack of time :( Purchased from this groupbuy, both are in carbon fibre. http://direct.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?57355-SpoonFedTuning-One-Piece-Lower-Windscreen-Trim-Group-Buy I think I ended up paying about £300 for these Inc taxes Unused still in the box, I'll also include the brand new clips I bought to fit them. £250, I'd prefer collection from the northeast near middlesbrough but they are still well boxed in the original packing which made it over ok from the states, so should survive a domestic journey! I'll have to get quotes for postage and I won't be held responsible for damage in the post so I'd rather they were insured too! I'll get some pics up tomorrow :)

As title, I was saving this for my tdi conversion but I've decided to sell up as I just don't have the time to complete it :( This was bought for my 'K' reg 1993 2.0 16v, I'm not sure what other models it will fit so please check yourself! I will get some pics and part number tomorrow. Pagid ones from euro are about £110, I believe these are obsolete from VW and were £130 before. I'm asking £55 Inc recorded postage.

If you want PM me your number and I'll drop you a text next time I know I've got a day to do some work on it, I'm only 5 mins away from portrack if you go the back way past old ICI. I'm taking it easy at the moment cos I just had a vasectomy yesterday lol The engine mounts in the same way, wiring is harder but I got AndyO from ACR in darlo to make my engine loom partly because I'm colour blind lmao Turbo manifold is a bit of a pain in the arse, mainly due to the bigger turbo though!

Yeah I did recognise your username and I clicked when I read about the tdi swap :) Lilfuzzer was the other guy I mentioned on vagcars who was on about a tdi build Really need to pull my finger out!!
-
We should all get onto http://www.vagcars.co.uk organise a mini NE corrado club lol I'll have to tow mine to the meets though lmao

Yeah it's good to have people around mate :) I'm half way through a tdi conversion so it's gonna be a few months until mine is running again, I don't get to spend as much time as I would like on it due to work/family/weather :( -

Welcome to the forum Mike :) Hi KofiD I'm just over the bridge from Billingham, corrados seem to be popping up all over since I got mine lol, always the same with a new car isn't it!
-
That will probably snap when you try to remove it!

How did you get on fitting these mate? It's going to be a while before I can fit mine, but after reading about your problem I'm wondering if I should have a trial fit to make sure there are no issues! -
Let me know how you get on mate, I'll be doing mine at some point!
-
I've not tackled the job myself yet Dan but I think the metal tube is just a sort of guide tube and you can just re-use the old one, although if it's crimped on I could be wrong. Maybe ask Paul if the tube is available separately, I'd check ETKA but my laptop is in need of an overhaul!
-
Yeah I think after the issues I had with the clifford in my mk2 I wouldn't want to risk another one! Toad seems to be a popular choice so I'm going to have a read up about them and see what's available. I'll look into trim wizard too :)
-
Try being firm but at the same time try keeping calm! I'm a reasonable guy but if someone started having a go at me for something I had done, even if I was in the wrong, the red mist would descend and that would be the end of any chance of an amicable solution. However if they approached me in calmer mannor and explained the problem without shouting etc then the chances are I'd be understanding and do my best to resolve the problem! Most Chavs however are scum and when you have family/property that could be damaged in retaliation it's a hard call to make :-/ I've got a Caucasian Ovcharka and people cross the street when they see me coming, admittedly he's quite an intimidating dog but it always makes me laugh when people go out of their way to avoid us! I quite often end up kicking other peoples yappy little dogs that think they are hard and charge across the field for a fight, I figure the owners would rather I kick them than let the big fella sort them out!
-
Yes he did, going to see if they come apart and give them a clean/grease before fitting, the more I read about rados the more I realise preventive maintenance is important! Thanks for the tip, I definetly would have snapped those lol
-
I got them from a guy who had them on a corrado so hopefully everything is there, I know the latches that are visible on the side of the door are there anyway!
-
Cheers guys I'll have a research about the ones you've mentioned, only thing I'd like feature wise is remote locking as I've got some passat rear handles to fit. I agree about the alarm only being as good as the fitter too, like most things lol Haha the metal box was held together with electrical tape on mine!
-
Not sure how comfortable I'd be with a second hand one, how would I know if they had kept a spare key fob and were going to visit me and see if I had a car worth knicking or not! Also my old mk2 had a clifford 650 iirc and it was forever going wrong, could have just been poor installation I suppose!
-
As title guys, going to start rewiring my corrado soon as when I took the dash out to swap it for a black one it was a mess and as I'm doing the engine side for my tdi conversion I figured it would be good to do it all! The old sigma alarm/immo was very temperamental and I discovered it was only wired into the ignition so not really very secure either! So what would you guys recommend? Don't need anything fancy, just a good secure and reliable system! Cheers :)
-
Hope someone can shed some light on this as I'm planning to remove my ABS, would be good to have a heads up on wether or not I need to change the servo and master cylinder!
-
Scary thought, but like a few have said it could have been much worse, lucky escape really! Glad I've got a moonroof which I'll be fitting before I get to drive the car again lol
