i found that nitromors dried out if you left it on for more than an hour. i was finding that if applied as it was telling me it was drying out before then as i was trying to scrape the paint off, thats when my mate told me he does it by soaking them in it overnight. havent tried it again yet. got another 2 wheels to strip  anyone know if blasting, presumably sand, erodes the surface of the metal your trying to get to bare finsih, it sounds WAY to abrasive for my liking, tho powder coaters acid dip them dont they? you could get that done,w othout having them coated i spose?

my misuss one stopped working today. immobiliser everything. she was miles from home. left it 5 minutes and it was fine again... god know why. ill be going out for a looke ina few minutes

luckily, with the mates i;ve aquired we run... http://www.eastsidevw.co.uk

nice wheels and yeah they suit the corrado but if yours is 5 stud, it'll be a wide track car am i right in thinking the extra width is gained my longer driveshafts and wishbones, in fact the intire front sub frame. so wont swapping the hubs to 4 stud keep it the same wide track. so that wheels on your car, will stick out more than they would on a G60 say ? :?

it appears so.

you! i first ussde nitromors to strip a wheel i have. it gives a good finsih on the metal i spose, but i found it a pain, my mate later told me to ignore the useless instructions and just soak whatever it is overnight. sounds like a better idea cause it was a pain when i followed the instructions

yeah, but the brackets (carriers) and calipers etc can all e of differet sizes and offsets etc. eg. when porkas wore 16" RS's, the brakes might not have been that big. Seat brembos have trouble fitting under most wheels. hence the questioning i guess

jesus.. ur not hanging around!! if i had that kind of motivation, my corrado would be well better off and my house would be emptier

The All New Lupo Aero Wiper Conversion Thread!!

Yup, that would probably work too... it would also look 10x better in most scenarios too im guessing. i reckon your mate is one bloody good welder to do that, and not see any join. or god of welding even, cause it wouldnt be easy to be 100% straight and un noticeable. where as say jons mate dave has a welder...... its also the perfect way to retro fit these wipers onto a mki or mk2 say, as they have different spindle size's. -

 well hopefully ill make it this year to see this. a good few of mymates are making the trip this year where as last year it was just me and my missus, but a new offshore job will maybe hinder me, or the court case i have coming up might keep me onshore long enough... -

have you got the arms and the blades mixed up there ? and dinkus. weld? wouldnt you be better to take off the old arm, and at the bottom where the flat metal "arm" section is attatched, the metal wraps around the arm and is clamped on. undo that, cut the lupo arm, insert, re tighten. perhaps respray them too. would look alot better IMO.
