Ill try just that. I know after speaking to a guy that had their coilovers on his 16v C that they dont seem able to take "heavy" driving. I'm sure their Kits are the same, though i read some opinions saying that they are quite comfy and i reckon thats all she is after. its more just for looks, thats why i thought i'd ask, but if there is problems, might aswel avoid them. Cheers for the Advice. You Wouldn't of even got one anyway.

Any opinions on Raceland stuff then? or is it identical to the Jamex stuff Ant is talking about? I've heard there coilovers are pretty good, but hows their kits? anyone know?
-
Cool cheers Davey boy! Any other recommendations? Was just flicking through the mags and realised that they seem quite cheap, and its kits like those (g-max, apex etc..) you see on Smaller cars like corsa's (well i take it thats why a guy at work put the sticker on his car ) but dont know if they're bought just because they are cheap, or if pepole actually really rate them?

Does anyone know where all the main earthing points are on the G60 at least? I had one on my inlet manifold go and the car wouldn't start. They must all be getting bad by now, so i'd like to change them all, I read that it can be a worthwhile thing to do to a car, that'll actually let it run better. I've read about Jap cars that have earths so bad, they end up losing power cause of it

Nice one! Good luck, Whens you intercooler kit gonna be ready?
-
Sorry, Where exactly was the earth you are talking about? Cheers
-
Koni claim they valve their dampers to the car and aren't just generic "off the shelf" products. Is this proof that they're lying?? Kev yes. it does
-
If anyone has actually bothered to read this far, im still open to suggestions about these kits mentioned. Other recomendations are also welcome :) Cheers

No Roddy, His name is Sandy  and i dont have to delete anything, you do a good job of doing that for me.

:? Why on earth would i want to edit that post? If your talking about the "i might get a set for the polo" part. then that stands. Coilovers would be great on that to drop it 70mm. Yes, There is now a polo to think about too in the lil VW family at my house, along with my MKI i have to think about, alterations to my Corrado that can be done, im probably away to get a motorbike soon, and like i say, i do the odd occasional post for my mate if he needs help. ie. - http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewto ... highlight= now, whats your point?
-
As well as his own Polo 6N. Martin only has experience of these kits on his friends polo's and obviously thought it would help. He is thinking about this kind of kits if he cant fit his coilovers. I also have a MKI golf that would go rather well on that Coilovers i reckon..... I also have a friend with a VR C that would like to lower his car now he has his wheels on, but he is on a budget. he doesn't have the net, and i ask stuff for him on the forum. Since Martin owns a polo, does he have to keep all his posts to General cause they wont be corrado related?
-
Quite very possibly.
-
Just a thought, Why is it not Corrado Related? Do Apex and G-MAX not make Kits for Corrado's? Are there not Corrado owning members on this forum that may be interested to read it too? Am i not allowed to fit this kits to my Corrado?
-
Cool, cheers mate. It the opinions that i want to hear so more of the same would be nice :D What was wrong with the G-MAX ? to Firm? How was the Quality of the Apex stuff? Cheers
-
Does anyone rate these kits? We're going for around a 50-60mm drop and trying to keep some comfort  I've been told the G-max Kkit is actually pretty good, but aint heard anything of Apex yet? Just wondering if anyone had heard of these kits at all? Cheers
-
Surely it cant be that easy....
-
i Like the MR2's, i'd have one, there's a nice one goign about up here, mint, black, lowered with lenso's that look like BBS RK II's. Very nice. You want one? Go for it!

back too topic, but there aint even a space for a speaker behind the grille. its just a styling part.

I think thats Yaash motorsport in London. We goyt our Group Buy from there and i think thats who Darren mentions all the time.
-
I dont think you can, its hydraulic and adjusts itself... :?
-
hmmm tempted for a set on the new polo then! anybody remember price at all? Cheers

Cause i heard that the problem with the Koni kit was the springs. I like the dampers, Koni's are good kits and they probably suit the VR more than the 16v or G60, depends what it was designed around really. I love the ride my FK's Give me and i got a good deal on them at the time so i think I made the right choice for me. But i would definetly consider getting a Koni, set height, adjustable dampining kit for cats Polo or my MKI sometime in the future. it depends on how each kit weighs up (Quality, Warranty, price, Reputation, Ride etc..), its only their coilover kits i heard bad things about. If the peopole that use them are happy with them, great :thumbleft: I was taking the mic... my point was that all suspension packages compromise of a spring and damper, all in one (though not in certain cars ), and the springs in all setups can be changed etc.. etc.. coilovers aren't special. Just handy. A bit!!! sometimes im glad im short... LOL. GazzaG60, What kind of warranty do you get with them supersports? And how harsh are they over OE suspension? We have some really bumpy roads up here and after i had my engine mount replaced not long ago, i think i've taken another one out (though it could be a different one) but with twisty roads we have around about here. it would be rude not to drive it properly wouldn't it! :D:wink:
-
And of course you cant take the spring away from the damper at all.... Welded on are they? Jesus! your obsessed with these dampers aren't you! If someone comes along and solves said problem, then thats me happy...... Corrado31, As for the Budget FK's, im not sure about them, i think its just a case that they are only height adjustable and not fully. They also do set kits too i think :D
