ooh, UPER! lmao!!!!
-
ah well. It looks sweet from that angle though.
-
When i said charger, i didn't necissarily mean Super charger...... Luckily though i have a G60! Too much money needed for a VR
-
It Nice from that angle. Lovely door.... Na seriously, its lookin good. Look forard to seeing more. Are you running spacers?
-
Red isn't it? Looks Very clean though, Nice Stance too. Pictures would be nice.
-
Something like that, but once you get the VSR there is The Cam, Re-map, Charger conversion... Now were talking!!!!! :D Have to Rob a bank though
-
Yeah. You have to spend LOADS to Tune up a VR6 to do the same Kind of performance that G60 can be tuned to. Best thing for a VR is probably a VSR inlet manifold but these are VERY Expensive. if you can find one!!!!
-
Yeah Jim, They are!!! Hee Hee
-
Rams, It was no offence mate, i was just making sure no one gets hurt. I know some cars do have it. I just dont think VW bothered, thats all. I've just never fancied sticking my hand in to test it either......  VR6, Its Amazing what an 'S' Does aint it LOL  Worked for Clack Kent at least! stormseeker, Im guessing that this would be built into the mechanism?
-
Well, Im sorry no one actually really got back to you on this one. I'd put up something but chances are your looking at it just now, or you've seen it. Basically its the same things you'd lok for on any car. Service history and so on. Check the Panels though as they're built by Karmann, it aint cheap to fix  Electrics seem to be a bit shaky at times i've noticed so make sure it all works ok. Little things like the Mirrors not adjusting may just be oxidised contacts in the switch but sometimes, your better safe than sorry. Central locking not working? may be a burnt out pump as this can be quite common, but again, it could be something like a burst pipe (its a vacuum system) but more than likely the pump. Try to make sure the Trim is in good nick and intact as some bits may bug you after a while and prove hard to get. Check the history of the charger, been re-built? No? whats the mileage? The first build should be done around 80K (mine wasn't actually done til over 100K) and listen for mettalic noises around the charger area. Check the belts for wear and tear, as you really wouldn't want these to go!!!! What like is the oil? Does it look like its just been changed? Was it Due? Is it a funny mayonaise colour? yeah? Walk away. Have a look underneath for any leaked fluids too. is it oily in the water reservoir? again, i'd walk away, apparently there could be another reason for this, but i wouldn't bother. The bottom bolster of the drivers seat wearing away? Not to worry, a common problem. £30 for a new bolster. Is the sunroof ok, Tilt and slide? Is it getting sticky? A good greasing fixed mine ok, but have a look. Spoiler workin ok? Check the manual button to the right, underneath the steering wheel. Should come up at about 40mph, go down when your close to stopping. Does it squeak? Should just need lubed. I used Motorbike chain wax on mine, never made a squeak since. Does the MFA (trip computer) function correctly? Does the MPG look unrealistic? Could be a worn out vacuum hose. Check all the Vacuum hoses behind the inlet manifold for wear (not expensive to fix but it may make the car feel sluggish). Check the wiring under the bonnet. Make sure there is no shorts or broken cables. Does the engine look oily? Could be dripping off the spunge on the bonnet, but how did it get there? Is the I/C ducted? No, Why not? Some aren't, but it means the bumper has been off at some point. Listen to the Radio? Check the reception on it. Large possibility of the power Amplilier for the bee sting being broken. It roughly under the aerial. Mines is broken. Dont bother me any. Does it have an aftermarket alarm? Does it come with 2 sets of keys and 2 fob's?? No, Watch out!. Oh well, Not bad considering i wasnt goign to bother so much!. Anyway. I hope this helps you, or anyone else looking for a Corrado (G60) out there. Anyone else got anything else to add, im sure there'll be something i've missed as this was off the top of my head. Persuming your still looking for a G60 James?
-
Pardon? Dunno about that, but when my cable broke that pulls the window down, the arm that pushes it up did just that automatically. Quite clever really. Though it dont last forever....
-
Yeah right! It also depends on the drivers, conditions, location etc.... I've also heard the the MR2 aint actually too shabby. Race him and find out!!!
-
biggrim,Joe M, and Henny, Yeah, Metallica decided to send an E-mail tot he club members and tel them it was out a week early! As soon as i got it, i whacked it on, and..... Wasn't that impressed. I mean C'mon, James shouting that he had a drink problem? The sacrilige of having Kirk Hammet in your band and not having 1!!! SOLO!!!! TRYING to keep up with the younger bands when really, they dont have anyone to compete with. They are the best! :D I do have 'Frantic' in my head all the time tho so it cant be that bad!!! Aint watched the DVD yet though and apparently it makes a difference to how you perceive the album. Personally though, i think ill swap the DVD and The CD, to stop any damage. a bit daft i thought :? Very Jealus tho biggrim, that your going. Did Fancy it big time!. Never seen them live, My Bro wouldnt take me to Milton Keyes last time  Although, somehow i knew they were playing Download... i wonder how i knew, cause it was supposed to be a secret...... :? Never mind. I got mine for £8.99 delivered to my door!!!!!

No offence mate. but i wouldn't do it, its been set up like that for a reason and could seriously injure a young passenger or any for that matter. I once was in the process of closing my windows at the same time as my GF went to open the door and she had her finger trapped in the window. This seriously hurt and i wouldn't of liked to have thought what may of happened if it was a one touch system and i hadn't noticed in time. Just my 2p.....
-
I did this too. Funny smell of burning rubber lead me to quickly remove it again!!!!
-
No, never did get the leather. Was the plan, but was pipped to the post to a set of recaro's by C6 SVR. Since then, i've been deciding what to go for, RS Recaro's? MKII Recaros? Konig's? choices choices. Probably be a while now, cause i still not sure yet. Dont know what colour to get them re-trimmed either. i keep changing my mind  Heres the Schmidt site. http://www.german-wheels.com Very personal taste, very expensive, But different to all the BBS Wheels out there. Just another option, i fancied a set for my Golf, and my friend REALLY wants a set for his punto. Just to let you know, He was quoted about £1200 for a set of 15's. But these are 3-piece wheels crafted in Stainless Steel (i think that's what they said :? ) and are very very nice. (TH-Line 3- tlg) There is a few different rims available tho. R&A Design Distribute them over here.

Sounds Great! Literally too i belive! Would i be right in saying that you were at the Stirling meet back in December? From what i remember, You r car is sweet and i had Kev bugging me to ask to listen to your install, as he knew i was hampering after Focals myself, and he was nothing but impressed wwith the sound. Incidently, cause of your car, i went for them (got the 165V2's) and love them! Your Sub fair Kicks too doesn't it? I tried to get my friend to buy one, but they sold out :( Waiting to see photos now :D
-
Yeah, but it's BBS, and its cause your wortth it! LOL You could always be really bling bling and go for a set of Schmidt's 8) Seriously, get a quote. There is a couple(sorry, all of them) That look awesome.
-
Like i say, i've heard good things about the handling/ride, by a few, and the guy said they were ok. He just seemed to have a car that had been to hell and back!!!  Depends i suppose on what you want out of them, and i suppose what your going to do with them. It would be good if you knew someone with them and could test it aswel, but when is that always possible? The way i looked at it was, "its GOT to be better than the standard stuff, especially since it was over 1K miles worth!"
-
BBS. Nice 8) Super T's. Ok seen them suit better cars IMO tho they do look good. Different looks really, so it depends on what your aiming for.
-
