Fla, this may sound a bit thick, but which part is the stopping hinge? Is it the gold/bronzy lever/arm about midway up the door jamb? I think thats where it sounds like its catching, and there seems to be more movement there than the passenger side.

Hi everybody, Tried a search but couldn't find anything directly relevant. Basically, I'm getting a loud click from the drivers door when I open and shut. It clicks at the point it stays open, so basically, once halfway and once fully open and same again when closing. I've heard of the door sagging on Corrados, but not sure if this is the sane issue. Any help us appreciated! Thanks

I think we've all agreed that its gash, but it might help the aero in a way. It might direct the airflow over the rear glass area where votices might build up. Cars with a truncated rear end (older Volvo estates) are much better at dealing with the vortices and wakes coming off the roof than saloon cars. Ah who am I kidding, its crap! -

Who were the two who voted for yes!? Come on! Own up! -
Nibbles, not sure how to vote on your poll, the wording makes it a bit confusing! Yes or No to leaving them on or smoothing it? You'll get more feedback if you reword it so its clearer mate

Not sure what it is Boost (probably the American tuning scene), but I find it puzzling too that people run their cars so low on UK roads! I'd understand if it was California with its flat, smooth roads but its UK with its speed bumps, potholes and what not!

The tyres are so different from the Bridgestone era. For the last 10 or so years the tyres would degrade up to a point then stablelize, meaning you could stay out on an older set of tyres and try to hang on until it was time to stop on your strategy. It also meant that you could wait until your oponent in front pitted then put in a couple of quick laps and leap frog them in the pits. Now the way the Pirelli tyres seem to work is that they are best when brand new and start to decline after the first lap. And once they are finished then you'd know about it! No hanging on for an extra couple of laps. So its impossible to leap frog in the pits the old way. Now it seems its better to pit earlier than your oponent and get on the fresher tyres a lap or two earlier. I wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing all the teams running 3 or even 4 stop sprint strategies rather than the old style 1 or 2 stop endurance strategies of Bridgestone/Michelin years.

3 of the games have sold, as in the edited opening post. The remaining 4 are still up for grabs. £10 will get you the lot!

Newey designed the car in pre-season without taking KERS into too much consideration, instead concentrating on packaging the rear of the car as tightly as possible for aero efficiency. RB therefor have to just shove the KERS system wherever they can, hence the overheating issues they've been having whereas a slightly more considered approach like the McLaren strikes a fine balance between aero and KERS. It must be so frustrating for Vettel and Webber to have the fastest/best car on the grid with a dodgy KERS system, that at best works 50% of the time. Having said that, Mark Webber without KERS was at times 3 sec a lap faster than the rest of the field when he was on options on his last stint! SamG40, would loved the race to have gone for an extra 2 or 3 laps for Webber to get past Vettel!

Definitely the best race in a long time. I reckon they got the DRS call just about right this week. I thought there was far too much overtaking in Malaysia and felt really artificial, but this week there was some proper overtaking and a really close finish. If Ferrari and Mercedes GP can pick up the pace a bit in Europe it'll be an immense championship battle this year. (Having said that, Red Bull's KERS will give them another step up when they get it working. Imagine Webber today with KERS?!)

Anybody have any pics of 195/50/15 on Speedlines?

Anybody else think the coverage is much much better without Eddie Jordan this weekend? More professional and streamlined program

OK guys, just been out and had a look at the throttle cable/mechanism whilst pumping the pedal. Basically, when the pedal is left alone, the throttle mechanism sits as it should. When I press the throttle, the mechanism is pulled forwards by the cable to about 90 degrees. However, when I release the pedal, the mechanism swings back down and the moment is makes contact with the damper (red sprung boot, don't know the technical term for it!) it slows right down and then rests in its orginal state. (is this causing the slight delay I'm feeling between release of pedal and drop in revs?) Is a slack cable causing this or is it something more complicated? I'm just sick of the soft spongy throttle, and I read on here a while back that someone adjusted their throttle cable and the end result was a pedal feel that was similar in resistance to the brake pedal. Right now, mine has nowherere near the resistance of the brake pedal! Please help!

Ok, bit of a thread revival, but I think its definitely throttle cable. How do I know this? Well if i stick my foot under the throttle pedal, I can actually lift the pedal towards me about 3-4 inches!! Anybody know if VR throttle cables are obsolete?

Hello guys, I have a few games that I don't play on anymore so thought I'd see if anyone on here would like them before I stick them on eBay. The games are... World Snooker Championship Sega Rally Revo - SOLD Assassin's Creed Stranglehold - SOLD NFS Pro Street Top Spin 3 Top Spin 4 - SOLD All the games are in very good condition, all work first time everytime. I bought Top Spin 3 as a pre-owned game so the manual is missing.

From a purely design point of view, go for the TT if you want something that still looks good in 10 years time. It still looks striking now with the right wheels. The Golf has aged quite well considering its 2 generations old now, still looks sturdy and "premium" but as you say, its just another Golf. I wouldn't be put off by the image of the TT. Any coupe this side of a 350Z will undoubtedly be called a hairdressers car or womans car. But at the end of the day it doesn't really matter what people think of you driving the TT does it? Its a great looking car, easily a design classic, so who cares! Go for the TT! From one classic VAG coupe to another!

I wouldn't want to put my face on the frontline like that for the sake of it going viral! Someone mentioned on another similar post that in most Eastern European countries, its become normal for people to mount cameras on the dash in order to resolve insurance issues/liability in the event of an accident.

Looks like it was fired out from under the nearside wheel of the trailer in front, kinda like a tennis ball machine... except with a 1 metre fence post!

Pretty expensive for what is essentially a 2ft piece of plastic!
