  1. i dont know about the shave handle thing, i'd be happy with armour plates but of course no one makes em for the corrado
  2. Had a look theres a grey relay number 18 which controls the sunroof, wipers and heater wiggled it abit and it started working do you know which relay is for the intermittant wipe as the wipers are working at low speed on this setting?
  3. but i suppose passat rear may be abit tricky now!
  4. I have been trying to put the car back together only two wires were disconnected at the steering column One had big connectors which plugs in on the left hand side (near the indicator stalk) and the other was a smaller plug which i believe plugs in behind the bigger connector. these two have been reconnected but wipers still dont work. Is there a relay or fuse which these components share? any help will be appreciated TIA majik
  5. Here is the damage to my passenger door what do you guys think new door or can it be repaired
  6. Amit, dont give out your address (road name) over the forum, anyone could be reading these posts and the last thing you want is your car getting damaged or nicked.
  7. There was another option, check out the ads in PVW there was a bloke selling a spring and shocks could've bought the whole lot or get him to split! By the Way if anyones selling Koni Rear shocks give me a PM adjustable or not.

The head could be cracked therefore the cause of the blowing headgasket, did you get the head crack tested?. What Headgasket did you use? i'm not 100% sure about this but turbo technics may have used a thicker headgasket to lower the compression ratio, if you have skimmed the head and used an OE gasket this may cause some probs (not too sure though about this one, need expert opinion)
  10. I wish i had a corrado at 18! what do you youngsters do?????? HairyHoover, if thats what you have been told about Corrado's then the only choice for you is a VR6, expect the high insurance though. Another general point on cars is that they are only as reliable as their owners.
  11. The silver Corrado was up for around £1150 in london last october, it had a turbo technics coversion too, i was going to buy it, but unfortunately (or fortunately depends how you look at it!) it was sold. Needed abit of work to it, had passat sunroof though!
  12. Is this a silver one that was for sale in london last october?
  13. i'd give these cars a close match 1) Alfa GTV (cockroach)the old style chunky rear wheel drive thing. 2) Integra typeR car its meant to be a very good for handling (also front wheel drive) 3) cant think of anything else :S if cars were dogs i'd say the corrado was a pitbull
  14. What alternative chin spoilers can be fitted to a corrado? I saw a couple of corrado's at inters with chin spoilers that were different to the rest, particularly a red one i think it was L reg. TIA
  15. Clifford concept 300 is now on my shopping list

    inters....

it was a good weekend, bought a steering wheel cowling from jeremy from the corrado club, but it was the wrong one. I haven't seen so many mint corrado's before, how do people keep em in that condition?
  17. you could suck it up through the supercharger or could've taken it to GTI inters and auctioned it :)
  18. AFAICR if the arm button is pressed with the ignition on then nothing would happen, but if it is pressed in valet mode this operates the central locking even with the car running. Ok just a little question which sensors come as standard with the 300? as i'm looking to get one soon i had a concept 40 some time ago and it had a piezo and dual proximity sensor so i wouldnt mind having these in again.
  19. That looks superb, want to do the same mods to my g60 too :) couple of questions though.... how dark is the tints? how hard is the rear spoiler (under bumper) to fit, and how comes it aint colour coded?
  20. When my car was broken into i found the plastic steering surround and a metal plate (shaped like a mini sump) on the floor, i want to know what that plate does? and another question can the plastic steering column surrond be fabricated in metal ? i will be getting a thatcham 2 immobiliser fitted at least (if not cat 1 alarm) in the C asap, would the alarm immobiliser be enough to put off the pond life or would be worth making the metal surround
  21. my insurance company dont cover me for theft untill a thatcham immbiliser/alarm is fitted. i was lucky the car was still there and i blame myself for being ignorant of the fact that the car wasn't alarmed. I also found the tool they used to break into my car and kept it, they are welcome to ask for it back (i'll give em more than just the tool!) but just a note to all corrado owners keep it secure! i'll be at GTI inters on sat and gonna see what security mods i can get my hands on.
  22. ok here's the scenario on my way to work saturday morning and see my parking light was on, then unlock my driver door to switch light off and notice al the wires were showing and bit of plastic on floor, went to passenger door and it had been broken into a the skin aroung the door handle was messed up and the door handle and lock busted. luckily the stereo (Crappy) was still there and the wires hadnt been cut. but the door now needs repair and security needed. There's no alarm on my car nor immobiliser but i'm getting this sorted asap. Are armour plates available for the corrado? hows the best way to repair the door and getting it looking original again? should i weld in a thick metal shield around the door handle on the inside so this cannot happen again? all suggestions much appreciated...it took me four months to find a suitable g60 and now my pride and joy has been damaged i'm furious to say the least! but surveilance is now running and i hope to find the culprit and teach him/her a lesson
  23. which suit the corrado better? or comments please?
  24. no they are not they also include crappy little corsa's with owners who have more money than sense or who end up paying off the loan for the rest of their lives(abit like g60 owners)! I've stopped buying fast crap and kaks power as they seem to be full of the same crap and occasionally one or two decent jap cars. PVW and the Golf magazine feature cars which have some thought style and power (kris bones mk2 says it all) gone into them, not fibre glassed sheds which shall be showing the patches of filler and rusting away in a years time.
  25. how about the people who pull out of a junction on you really fast then continue to do the usual 20 mph happens frequently in town driving.............untill the airhorns are sounded
