  1. oh and any chance of a proper pic of the whole car with those wheels...i was thinking about them myself ta
  2. as i said...a body shop or VW are your best bet..... ..best to get it done right first time rather than having to take it there in the end anyway
  3. hard to tell from that pic...was it taken on a phone  if you have chaged the springs from standard you should ALWAYS get the wheels aligned properly again anyway. out of interest...are they the 16" from a golf 4 motion?
  4. as opposed to taking gummy bears.....they never seem to work aswell as cash
  5. mine we running 3.5 - 4.0 when i fitted the koni stuff  cornering was AMAZING but felt very twitchy
  6. it'll be the camber! the have to undo the 3 bolts on the ball joint and play around with it there...straighted it up and re tighten the bolts... take it to a body shop or just to VW as they have the correct equipment to check it all i paid £70 at a body shop for wheel allignment..i think VW wanted £90
  7. when do you go and see it? good luck and let us know
  8. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...so thats the difference.... thanks kev.. i just have vw rubber ones but they are brand new and never used...which is nice..but not as nice as braided :(
  9. um...i dont mind but dont really want to crash another perfectly innocent thread like i have done alot recently i reckon including the car, the schrick, the wheels, the body work refurb, the suspension, the exhaust, the VT mount... its about £7k look on my link and feel free to ask more questions there http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... &sfgdata=4 :D actually 6k (if its in good condition) doesnt sound so bad afterall now does it..but i do have beige leather!!
  10. but essentially if i bought a conversion hose...and a late mk3 hose from vw...they would be the same? sorry...just like to have things clear in my mind
  11. where is the car based? im sure someone would be near by to take a look with you dont look at it late in the day...or in fading light like i did... look for little signs of love...is it clean..is it vacuumed..are wheels curbed check for rust along the bottom of both door inside and out all the way front to back of the door!! common area for rust. i paid £4600 for mine with 80k.......but then im a lucky begger  and to be honest mine wasnt mint.. for 6k you dont want one that needs body work
  12. i dont understand this 'conversion hose' thing....i have late mk3 hoses...which had better fit or their going back to mike edwards! as far as i understood it was just the caliper connector that was different...the connector to the brake hose on the actual car is the same on the golf and the corrado...or so i have been told im talking fronts by the way
  13. no..the adapters are basically the hoses...you need mk3 or mk4 front hoses and mk4 rear hoses.
  14. well the discs weren't too bad IMO...and i have bought pagids now anyway....well dinkus has....there in his car and on his credit card at the moment
  15. kevhaywire, shhhhhhh.... you had a look then...shame i only have one of them at the moment!!! the other is still rolling around in the back of corradostorm's car
  16. i think the callipers are about £80 each from VW...i read it somewhere on the vr6golf forum
  17. my friend in the states did it to his golf vr6 and he said he noticed the difference in sound but not too much in performance
  18. biggerbigneil, oh and if you get trade price (like i do :D ) then the mk3 golf 288mm discs are £25 plus vat each
  19. biggerbigneil, go to a scrappy for the callipers if i were you...they normally go for about £120-£150 second hand but that will get you the callipers, carriers, hoses (which you will need!) you do know that the late mk3 calliper and the early mk4 caliper are the same...i have the mk4 because its newer and therefore longer life expectancy...but both will do the same job
  20. the mk 4 calipers are fine for the front (i have them for mine) but you'll need the mk3 carriers i believe i'd stay away from ebc pads personally.....pagid FR or VW tend to work best from my own experience (saying that you wanna buy some mk3 288 spec ebc green stuff pads that are hardly used you can PM me..im only after about £20 :D ) why do you want drilled discs aswell??? VW ones are fine and actually very cheap
  21. if he has accepted liability i think you can just take him to court personally....small claims court type of thing...
  22. im suprised no one has commented on my honest appraisal of the Milltek :?
  23. how about people post up a pic of their car? if you colour is already posted then DONT post and the mods can and will delete double colours??? just a thought cause im interested to see all the colours...khaki green, irish green??
  24. how much will i need to cut them down and how where should it be cut? any chance on getting me a price for them tomorrow steve :) ? thanks
  25. i have a question....i have to admit i dont have rear bump stops fitted  is this a very very bad thing?? do the standard bump stops fit over the koni dampers? when i did the swap i saw that the diameter of the metal pole part of the strut is about 2 - 3mm thicker than standard..and im not sure if the standard will fit?? thanks
