jedi-knight83 replied to PhatVR6's topic in Suppliers Forum
so which is the rubber bit you have to cut to get it out and if its cut away ( i think i know which bit it is) surely the new bearling wont be held in again properly? -
you could always put the wires out the window and selotape them to the side and then into the boot, no trim removal needed!!!

what were you doing when you crashed out of curiosity? did it involve any other cars / people? -
as usual jedi is the fastest  225/45 is a large profile for the corrado to be honest! those were the tyres that came from the TT werent they! they have bugger arches, etc. i think the corrado takes the following quite nicely 205/50/15 205/45/16 205/40/17

what width are the actual wheels? is it just the tyre catshing?? if so why not change them to a smaller width tyre?

cheers guys, another job to add to the list. when you say replace the bearing i presume your refer to the dougnut shaped bit in the middle that holds the ball bearings? -

so which particular noise in my engine bay would this be??? i have so many and i want to fix them all? would this stopp the whistling noise... in the pics that stormseeker posted, they just packed the bearings with grease, would this do just as good-a job as replacing them? cheers -
Front strut top mounts - should they look like this?
jedi-knight83 replied to richn's topic in Archive
i think that is supposed to be like that. mine does that the same. if in doubt get some new top mounts, only about £10 but you'd have to strip the suspension to fit them. -
Just sitting here bored at work wondering how much i actually spend on fuel and whether or not its more than i used to in my old car. Over the past year. (feb03 - feb04) i have spent £1455 on petrol. got my corrado in november so havent had long to compare really but month per month isabout £20 - £30 more at the moment... maybe it will tail off as the year goes on??

Corrado Mk4-Golf-Reverse style white dials (old thread)
jedi-knight83 replied to Andi's topic in Interior
shame about having to have black dials :( but the backlighting and glow in dark will make up for it  how do we go about getting the back lighting then? does that all have to be fitted aswell or are there bulbs behind already? i have not taken mine apart to look yet? -
i've had an idea for those how want to mount it upright to save boot space...i am yet to test this though so its still in the *dumb thought in my head* process mount it upright running paralel with the boot wall, using the other set of feet (that you would do if you were mounting it laying down) stick it to the boot wall aswell? either that or somehow strap it to the boot wall somehow?? I went out and got the velcrow last night but it was too cold and dark to bother messing around outside. I'll give it a go when i can but the idea (in my head) seems to work

jedi-knight83 replied to Andi's topic in Interior
thats what i was gonna say aswell? surely it would need more than one led? maybe 2 or 3 so it lights them all up properly. cant wait to see it. -

wow, nice one henny. that looks cool, i know the led is running on a battery at present as its in your room, but when its in the car do you plan to run it from the electrics? cant wait to see it with some backlit dials!! nice work -
i know it was a sarcastic comment...i just am a bit annoyed at the price rise. i was gonna get the chip done when i had the cash, looks like i wont have the cash for a whil now...infact i dont think i fancie paying that much for a re-chip full stop!
