  1. this actually depends on a few things...see if you increase the actual size of the wheel, you just get lower profile tyres to compensate..so the rolling radius stays the same and therefore the acceleration / gearing / top end would not be affected. if you get a wheel bigger than 17" though and then add a tyre...even with a rubber band type low profile tyre the rolling radius is going to be bigger than standard...thus giving you speed / acceperation issues.. ok thats that... but, if you get a 16" wheel that is much much heavier than your 15", even if you get lower profile tyres to keep the rolling radius the same..you will still have slower acceleration as the car is having to spin heavier wheels to get going  if you can find some nice lightweight wheels to suit the corrado your laughing...if not... well you either going slower than us, or sticking to standard 8)
  2. i have a small dent in the drivers door. It hasnt broken the paint atall and isnt that big but its right on the crease that runs along the door about 4 inches about the rubbing strip (you know where i mean) any sugestions of a good dent specialist. Im in the cambridge area. ta
  3. yup. not only will anything above 17" handle like a dog, it will mess up the gearing and you'll never get the same driving experience again... stick with 16" or 17" the corrado looks pants on anything about 17" anyway IMO
  4. hell yeah!!! what did the guy do? keep it for another vr6 or sell it on its own?
  5. what happens to your existing plate? is it still yours.. i.e you buy M20 VRG and after 3 years want to sell it...can you just sell it and put your old plate back on the car? i almost bought a plate for my CRX (G7 CRX...looked like GT CRX) but put the moeny towards the respray instead... mind you that was cheap at £400 compared to the one i really wanted.. CRX 16V at £5000
  6. oh and you'd actually be suprised how good the 15's look once its lowered 8)
  7. my friend has the 40mm koni kit and 17x7 wheels with 205/40/17 tyre and has no problems with rubbing. go for 16" though as it rides much nicer IMO
  8. Very nice PhatVR6, is that early morning or late evening?
  9. just got it back, nothing they could do about the castor aparently so its as it was :(
  10. yeah i only did a quick search

  12. those £250 ones are £375 inc VAT and transfer fee.

  14. i like those wheels....but they look an absolute bitch to clean :?
  15. Actually AMD chard 60 + adjustment + VAT... according to the website :? i can imagine you wouldnt see much change from £100 if you took it there........the rip off merchants  (sorry just bitter cause i have to save more for my chip now)
  16. well its booked in again for this afternoon. how much do you guys pay for a 4 wheel alignment anyway? vw wanted £80 plus VAT this was £60 plus VAT
  17. should have tried it the other day, i had it in my glove box
  18. Actually its not their choice. They have recomended garages but you are well within your rights to take your car for estimates elsewhere!! hmm, interesting, personally i wouldnt know where to start with pannel beating, painting, pulling chassis's straight, welding panels etc Also....do you know the cost of body parts for the corrado, bumpers, doors, wings, etc.... you start having to replace a couple of those out of your own pocket and you'd know about it!
  19. your rolling radius is slightly larger due to your 17" wheels so that is probably why yours is more acurate. my CRX went from 14" - 16" wheels and with the 16" the speedo was spot on!! Mind you... PeteVR6 is actually running 18's so his speedo is probably faily acurate........or it could be slightly under reading so he could be actually doing about 130mph which isnt too far off the top end??
  20. fair enough, just checking.. Could be a tired fuel pump, i hear that if it is not giving enough pressure it will affect top end speed as not enough fuel is being supplied
  21. are you all taking the reading according to the speedo??? 130 on the speedo is only about 115 in actual fact. strap a gps speed reading device to your dash and see how far your speedo is really out! mine is fine up to 60 but after that it goes out by 10% indicated 100mph is only 90 on the gps i'd like to see the speedo on a car that is ACTUALLY traveling at 140........ woooh im doing 160
  22. looks mint matey. your camber even looks spot on :(
  23. just been for a bit of a drive 8) car feels much nicer now. strangely enough it actually feels more bumpy and it now pulls to the left quite a bit :? i dont really want to spend another load of wedge getting it re-done though :(
