Your need to take the exhaust manifold off yes, but no need for an engine crain for just taking the head off, an extra pair of hands would be useful tho

The yellow corrado Bentley manuals are usually on amazon for around £50 But that only covers the G60 and Vr6 engines The purple passat manual (sorry cant recall the years) covers the 2.0l 16v 9a engine I think I still have one from when I had a 16v I'll have a look tomorrow, if I do, you can have it for the cost of postage

I think it was 91's early - 92's Late for the exterior face lift Anyone confirm ? Just checked it was August 1991 they made the change over

Theres a good guide Here All early bumpers are the same G60, 16v ect. and late bumpers are the same Vr6, 16v ect. The main difference is fog light and indicator housings but the line around the top is also differs slightly

Goodridge TT hoses fit, Here, but you have to buy the full set. These would probably be a cheaper option if you just wanted the fronts

Did a 486 miles this weekend on a trip to wales and back, The car could not have been better, didn't miss beat. Only managed to get 34mpg... the very wet but smooth twisty welsh roads might have had something to do with that And a little helper... Interior... Steve

Thanks, Water was at 100-105 (Fan was coming on a lot) and oil 120-125, water is now at 85 ish and oil at 95, so a reduction of around 20 deg

Had a 2.0 16V Corrado for about 3 years, then pick up the Candy white VR6 just over a year ago - so about time i started a members thread Not long after purchase When I got the car the water temp gauge didn’t work, luckily it was just that the needle had slipped off the back, Easy Fix, but then noticed it was running quite hot, had a poke around but couldn't see anything too bad, had a look at the water pump... Yuck! :gag: So that set me off replacing most of the coolant system, just get the rad to do now, its little tired but works fine Over the last 12 months its had... OEM oil filter OEM oil cooler OEM water pump Crack pipe Thermostat and housing Mocal 13 row oil cooler 90deg thermostatic plate OEM alternator and belt Spoon fed 70mm splitter and new fixings SWG Scuttle cover Full set of back samco’s with new spring clips Refurbished 312’s & Goodridge hoses Gear box mount Toe eye cover New battery and jacket Sunroof switch Sunroof motor Alloys refurbished Philips DAB stereo & speakers New cobra CAT 1 alarm Various trim pieces to tidy up the interior US side markers All red rear lights OEM VSS There are still lots of things on the list but it’s getting closer to where I want it to be :) Refurbishing the spoiler mech and finding a better canter console and leather handbrake cover are top at the moment I don't have any recent pics but will try to get some over the weekend Steve

White G60 parked in Martins VW Basingstoke today

Its a 93 Vr6 Manual, I took the car off the road over the winter and now my speedo has stopped working Dials all seem to be working fine, But no speedo, odometer, or anything distance related on the MFA I cleaned up the VSS, but no joy, today i replaced it along with dive cog (which looked fine) and still nothing So where do i go from here ? :scratch: Im not that good with wiring and don't have multi meter at the moment, but ill get one before the weekend and have a poke around so any advise on where to start would be great Oh, i did have a Cat 1 Alarm fitted while it was off the road, but that won't affect this, would it ?

From a number of years ago...

i did read about this happening to someone on E38 it was a very low passat, the brake hose started rubbing on the drive shaft, think he hit a van at a round-a-bout Scary stuff.... ;(

Hate it when the police act like this... if they genuinely thought your 6mm poke to be "dangerous and unsafe" then they wouldn't have allowed you to drive the car, if they genuinely believed you didn't have valid insurance they would have seised the car there and then... Just bad luck... :(
