Look like I might have found my retrim guy :) So engine getting sorted. Retrimmed planned for next year. Along with paintwork. Thereafter I can look at Exhaust and Suspension Options. Hopefully in That time will find a set of BBS LM Whees

Yeh I’m up near Edinburgh. I have been trying to get in touch with Snappy Gaiters but no luck as yet, but want a set of BBS LM and to get it repainted or touched up

It was the facebook feed but were not cheap, I know of another set of red leather ones for sale

Well I just bit the bullet and gave stealth the go ahead to sort the engine on my Corrado, I am hoping once finished and painted it will still be worth a decent amount and I will only have spent £2or3k less than it will be worth. I have wanted one for year so really hope it lives up to what I’m hoping. Now to decide what to do with the recaros leather trim or keep them cloth and see if the wear on the drivers bolster can be sorted. Ross

Where is the best place to get an Uprated loom

The engine has only done 79k so want to keep the original engine the cost of the the rebuild the pistons are 600 plus vat but just not sure if there is a better make worth going for.

Hi Just looking for opinions, my engine needs a rebore and they are suggesting 82.5mm Mahle Pistons would anyone say there is a better make or a different type I should go for. Ross

It’s a back wheel arch of a car not my Corrado but another car and it will be painted by a body shop so difficult to shot blast. It’s surface rust and has been ground out Ross

These have arrived need to be made perfect still or retrimmed in leather but that is all possible. Ross

Part of the deal was I was not allowed to say but I was 4 figures. Deciding if they are going to be trimmed in leather if I can get hold of snappy gaiters or not. I would happily have kept them cloth if I could have sorted the drivers bolster with the correct material.

[ATTACH=CONFIG]95220[/ATTACH] Hi Hoping someone can help, I have just purchased a set of recaro electric seats and the drivers bolster is pretty worn and foam behind this crumbled, can advise where I can get replacement foam bolsters. I also need a headed seat loom and and electric seat loom. Thanks Ross

I don’t have the time to do it myself at present as had my house just after a 2 year rebuild flooded by the local council doing roadworks outside and been battling with getting that all redone for the last year and a half. I also have another car needing rebuilt. So would be great to do it myself but just don’t currently have time and need the car sooner rather than later.

The work includes sensors, brakes discs front and rear and pad, clutch, chains, refurbed cylinder head, gaskets, plugs, oil pump and some bushes. I had already planned to spend £2500 on it but when stripping the engine they found the issue. So the extra is the strip down and reboring of the engine and new pistons. It’s a 79k Miles car with full history so changing the engine does not really appeal. I have been good a picking collectors cars which have jumped after buying them and I think the corrado is just starting to be recognised. The body has no rust and I mean none, it does have a couple of scuffs and dings on the body work and was planning to do a windows out repaint. Ross

Yip a lot of money this was suppose to be a cheap toy and keep thinking by the time I take into account purchase price, paint that will still need done it will certainly outweigh what it’s worth or do I sell the corrado as is and put an extra £10k to pot and buy a low mileage rs4 This is the problem I keep toying with what to buy, I also have a lotus Esprit S1 and if I sold that I could look at an Aston Martin Vantage but think will I keep thinking I still want to own a Corrado

Well to get the car fully sorted mechanically wise it’s gonna be just over £6000 do I do it or not?

I am more looking for one that some would be willing to part with and sell
