1. Anyone know of an actual product then for the rubberised coating? I'd like to buy some but can't find anything online aside from the NLA VW stuff :(
2. Hi John, can I ask why you are selling and also do they fit into the engine plastics (I heard some are 10mm and too fat!) Cheers Ron
3. Hi Chris, yeah that is another option and cheers for the offer. I have the guys at MB motorsport that did my charger pipe work that could also do that. An ITG filter is about £50, can probably get the other pipe work done for another £50 Issue is how it will sound as I had the ITG before and it was just perfect :)
4. As long as they are not too flat, you can use a slide hammer and weld on tabs to pull it back out. A lot less work than all that cutting and welding.
5. Must be in reasonable nick

Too gangsta for me
7. Another quick update guys, with just 2 weeks and 3 days left to go. We're racing against the clock to get this thing back on the road and tested for at least a week before we hit the track. Bodywork is all done, trim is going back into place....still need to paint the all the wheels. Next week we're going to tax her and add the decals. https://atomhawk.wordpress.com/2014/05/07/just-2-weeks-to-go-well-almost/
8. For the RH ZW1 it looks like the lip actually holds the tyre http://www.pureklas.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/SDC13424.jpg And so can I safely delate the tyre, remove the lip, polish it and then put the tyre and the lip back on and pump up the tyre? Taking note of the tyre orientation for balancing? Cheers Ron
9. Also watching this thread and want to separate 2 of my RH ZW1s as lips are pitted
10. With all the polishing going on for the event this weekend, I decided to get some proper pictures taken with my SLR.....decent camera makes a huge difference!!
11. Really great to meet up and also meet some of the CCGB gang that I'd not met before. Lovely turn out, weather was cracking. I brought my kids and they got really excited so I was worried it might be a let down for them, but they had a great time and this morning my son wanted to go again :)
12. Cheers for the comments guys. I feel that the car is finally getting close to complete, still got loads of little things and the VGI to go on but overall the condition, look and spec is there now....until I get bored and VRT ;)
13. Cheers folks, just need to get some better pics and get the Shrick VGI on there :)
14. Few camera phone pics of them on the car, I did try some 5mm spacer on the back for extra poke but 8J and ET30 proved too much for my standard arches :( back to ET35 and all seems well.....now need to clean the rest of it for Stamford hall on Sunday :)
15. I will be rocking up about 10:30 as I'm bringing my kids :)
16. Finally managed to sort a pic out using tapatalk. Wheels will be going on the car tonight. Took about 5 hours of polishing so far as they were pretty tarnished.
17. There was one that went for £1000 on here that needed a bit of TLC A low-ish milage one (80K-120K) in good nick but some wear and tear would be about £3500 - £5000 A collectors quality car with ultra low miles could be upwards of £8-9K
18. Haha ok mate, I have them. Been sat in my loft for a few weeks while we used the garage to paint the BMW for the charity race (it is looking bad ass by the way!) http://atomhawk.wordpress.com/ When I got them, they were in OK nick. A few dings in the polished lips which I managed to get out with a series of plastic mallets. Not I've been polishing like a nutter and my fingers are sore as hell :) Sh*t i-phone pic but you get the idea, still got one more to do before Stamford hall this weekend. *NOTE: THERE WOULD BE A PIC HERE BUT FORUM SEEMS TO NOT BE WORKING FOR PICTURE UPLOAD
19. Someone is going to be gutted if they pay that kind of money for it!
20. I'd still be wary of the rears too. I was running RH Cups, standard arches and low but not "Dick head low" with ET 35 (+ a 15mm spacer) so ET20 and a 7.5" rim and 205 width tyres.....rubbed like a Biatch over bumps
