1. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooops
2. Thanks Kev, just to confirm. The plunger/flap assembly is a must have Shrick made item I take it - Need to be sure this is present? The rest can all be sourced aftermarket bits? Just need to be sure I have the essentials.
3. Seen a VGI, it looks to have the flapper that is opened by the vaccume actuator. But it has no control box that sits between the actuator and the engine vaccume to control the flap opening. Is that controller needed, still available? or is the item junk? Thanks Ron
4. Got a freshly refurbished set of solitudes stashed away. Never been on the car since the refurb but I'm going to give them a try at the weekend. Definately prefer solitudes to speedlines.....i really dislike speedlines
5. I had these refurbed last year and they have done less than 2k miles on the car since. Still totally unmarked and fitted with 205/45/16 tyres, 2x Bridgestone Turanza 4mm, 2x eagle F1 3mm. Finish has a really deep sparke! £300 no offers, will be £330 on other sites. http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=29034&d=1296921855
6. Yep, fuse box fits properly now and all the random fuses in the alarm system that were just connected with spade connectors and electrical tape, are now running to proper mini fuse boxes (there is one in the pic for the central locking and indicator blinking) It has taken bloody ages though and in some ways I hope it was worth it as nobody will ever see all this work :)
7. It's been 2 months since I decided to remove the whole interior to address a number of issues and to hopefully get it all back in squeak free :) So far I've done: Heater matrix Re-wire of alarm Re-wire of dash board electrical bodges Fitted heated seat looms Renewed cable padding, insulation etc Stripped and rebuilt heater box Fitted new bolster to driver seat Remove all door cards, made repairs to glue and clips etc Cavity waxed all panels, sills Resprayed spare wheel Cleaned all dash components Fitted Dave16v short shifter Changed expansion tank And loads of other stuff, but two months of evenings and weekends has been too much, pretty sick of it now :( Dash is coming back together, spent ages organising all the wiring looms behind the dash, they are all separate now and labeled to ease future work....I am bloody OCD with that stuff. 8. RS reps? Do you have a link? I won't do fake splits :)
9. There wee 9 in stock, last ones ever and made in 2003, I said I would take all 9 but they said I could only have 7, unsure why. VW classics website says sold out, so there may be two left but there also probably isn't. Only way to know if to contact them. I get the impression that the horn cover is still available.
10. Screw this..... Gona put the solitudes back on and be done with it :)
11. Looking for some show rims for my Blackberry, won't pay £1500 for a set of BBS splits :) I have too much on a conscience that I could take my kids for a nice holiday for that kind of cash so budget is sub £700 for rims (got tyre) Found these ROTA wheels but no pics of them on a C, they look nice and retro. http://www.driftworks.com/rota-d154-16-wheels-all-colours.html Pic in 5 stud guise http://rotablog.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/1375154_675070342503420_635152399_n.jpg On a mk4, think they would look better on a C and the Mk4 looks too modern for these rims http://dudesphotography.smugmug.com/Events/SEMA-2013/i-qH2sKNN/0/L/59-IMG_7914-L.jpg Come in the perfect size too, 16x8 ET30 What do you guys think?
12. Yeah, you can shuffle the panels a little to get them closer. For example my passenger wing wasn't right when I bought the car. Stuck out proud from the surface of the door, and had a big gap by the bonnet and didnt even meet with the slam panel. It had also rotted away at the bottom so I took it off expecting to see the chassis had a bump but no.....it was actually just a really badly fitted wing. The next one went on totally straight and looks fine. Someone in the factory was having an off day
13. New cars can be worth having, but in my view only if you are self employed (Ltd co) and want to cash in on the low emmission vehicle deals. I bought a 106gm CO2 Golf MK7 GT TDI 150bhp (Bluemotion) list price £25K for £22K via Carbuzz....then I could offset the whole cost in Year 1 against my tax bill and so saved £4400 in tax. Total cost to me was £17600 and after one year, I could still trade the car in and get that back now. Mapped it with a DTE box (fuel, boost, timing) and got 500nm torque and 195bhp......its a bloody animal and still returns 55mpg :)
14. BUMP and open to offers folks.... should also mention that I dont think these need any spacers for a car with 280mm or less sized brakes
15. I already posted a pic in post #164 My dash is almost back together (just need this weekend) and then mine will be going on, so I'll take some more pics then.
16. Just to give you an idea, a corrado in that condition in the UK would not be worth more than $500-$800 USD so that seems expensive for what appears to be a wreak
17. Cool, thanks a lot guys. I actually have a big length of 0 guage that I just took out due to the ICE install (there used to be one but I dont have one) Can easily put that back. What happens with the earth? reading online it seems that people have tried all kinds of complicated stuff but as far as I can see....it just needs a big strap to the body?
18. Hi Guys, While I have my dash and interior out, I'm wondering if I should have a go at relocating the battery to the boot as I would like to route the supercharger intake into an airbox to prevent water getting into it. Looks like I may have sourced a CDA box to butcher, just wondering if it is as simple as buying some bloody massive guage cable and running it to the rear. Wondering if anyone has done this before on here and if so, ideas on install would be cool. Thanks Ron
19. OK let me know what the damage is for postage, happy for it to be snail mail (Hermes) if it keeps the costs down.

21. Mine has arrived! thanks so much for organising this Si. Cheers Ron
22. What do you think? Lots of texture on both the plastic and leather parts compared to the one that is already on the car. Kind of wasn't epxecting that :)
23. Tell me about it :) I had my IHI powered Octavia for 18 months before the bills just took the fun out of it. Gearboxes, clutches, blew a turbo that came to £2000 and constantly replacing vac hoses and boost pipes. I'd love another mental turbo car but not as a daily as that was.
