It stops halfway through when I watch it?
-
Cheers for the reply Phat. I just had a look on Autotrader, and the most expensive G60 on their site is under £4000. I suppose we'll have to have a look, and hope we find a good one.

My Girlfriends brother is looking to get a G60 rado. He only has about £3000 to spend though, is that enough to get a tidy car? He's obviously not expecting concours material here, but should he perhaps save a bit more. The only problem is that his hand has been forced, as the MOT on his 8v GTi runs out in two weeks, and it's gonna cost mega bucks to get that through. He's seen one he likes the look of, for £2250, but we're not sure wether that includes a charger re-build or not. Cheers for any help guys n gals.

Fair enough, cheers for the help guys.

Are you sure, as the hose connects to the hose for the induction kit?
-
Cool cheers Kev. It just seems that one of the hoses is split were it joins the box, it feels like a split anyway. (It's the one that you can just see at the top left of the box)

This is the best pic I could get. Cheers

I'm just trying to sort a pic now, but my e-mail is not working at the minute.

Not sure if this is a problem or not. I have just been to check the water on my VR, as it is loosing quite a bit, I started the engine up as I was bored at work just to make sure everything was OK, when I noticed what sounded like an air leak. It's coming from what I can only describe as a "box" (which is made of the same material as the hoses) to the rear of the engine near the bulk head. It has 3 or 4 hoses going in/out of it. One of these is a thinish one that joins on to the hose were the induction kit is. Were the join to this box is, I think the hose has split, as I'm sure there is air leaking from the joint. I have not noticed any problems with the car, just that noise. Is this a vital problem? Sorry for the long post, and the lack of technical info. Any help appreicated. Cheers

Mines in a completely different place to both of those. My buttons are under the rear screen heater, and fog light buttons.

Brentacre were the best for me. -
Gotta agree on the VX220 Turbo, drove one on a track day last year, and the performance is out of this world, and the handling is top class. I would have one if I could afford it, over all the above cars mentioned.
-
Yes mate it does thanks. I may have to bite the bullet and go for coillies then. Not liking the 4x4 look much at the minute!
-
Whats the ride like on that set up mate, is it fairly harsh?
-
I'm in a sort of similar position, I've been offered a genuine Aston Martin Supercharger for peanuts. Apparently it is quite big though, so I don't know if it'll shoe-horn into my VR engine bay.
-
Good point, I didn't even cross my mind that may be why. The cap is a bit crappy, and very notchy to do up. It could well be that. Cheers Henny

Hi guys n gals When I first got my VR, it was loosing a lot of water but I put that down to the rad, as it was leaking. Got that replaced, but my coolant warning light comes on every 2 weeks or so. I can't see any leaks anywhere, there is no mayo in the oil, and there is no steam/codensation to suggest a cracked head. Any ideas?

Whats your best piece of advice / modification for the C?

How much did that cost to get done Kev? -
I'll keep my eye's peeled around the Farley hill area mate. Just so you know I am in Stopsley/Wigmore area, just off of Wigmore lane, near the Handsom cab pub.
-
Hi Sten, whereabouts in Luton are you, as I have seen a dark coloured 16v around, but it's always been to far away to acknowledge. Oh, I've also seen a bright yellow C, not sure what type in Watford, twice now in three days. Guy driving it has long hair in a ponytail.
-
My thoughts exactly. I appreciate it for waht it is, but it is just plain nasty.

How long should brake discs/pads last?

Is the stuff from ECP any good though? -
As in VW did it with the MK3, grossly under powered, and extremely heavy. Had one for a while, but chopped it in for my MK2.
-
Well they did it in the MK3 Golf!
