I've seen these things on TV they are just crap. Take a soda can and cut it up and save yourself the $$$. As for Air filter with a housing http://www.prmracing.com/ these work very good. Now about those spiral max remember they are before your charger and could get ingested before your wallet gets digested by a charger seller. A friend of mine had one of the after market cone filters that has the centerof the top of the cone as an inverted cone with a small chrome cap in the center. well the heat caused the glue holding the cap to loosen and then the charger swallowed her.

    Shocks/Springs

Hey there I went with Neuspeed soft sport springs a couple years back when H&R made them for Neuspeed. It lowered the car enough to make the space above the rim the same as the space on the sides of the rim. I like it like this. Sometimes MK4 people ask me when I'm going to lower my car :? As for Shocks and struts. I have Bilstien sports up front and I rode a long time with the OEM rears and I really like how the car feels with this setup. Its not as bone jaring as the bilstiens all the way around as I've felt in other cars. But then again my suspension bushings are all new OEM. So now on the rear I just installed a new set of KYB. The old OEM rears were toast and I wanted something with a similar feel. I have yet to drive with these new KYBs because I'm waiting on my tranny to be assembled

    Oil windage tray

The G60s have them but they are not that nice. They are plastic and clip on to the Oil pump's pick up tube. The G60's plastic one does have baffles built into it to aid in keeping oil near the pick up tube while cornering. I know a few people that rebuilt their G60 motors with this metal windage tray and they had a difficult time with the bolt's length. I think if I used this windage tray I would want an oil pan with baffles in it. This is one of those areas that I have no problems with right now so I'm content but I tell you this the plastic is brittle after 12-13years of heat cycles

    18" alloys

how about this: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sra ... 0fadb5.jpg Looks daft in my opinion. Each to their own though! Daft? I was just messing around when I took that photo. The rims are from an SUV and I already had the car on jack stands. I have decide that 15" and 16" rims are my style for the rado

  8. Could be on the Jet they used the brushed badge. Here in the USA late 1993 and newere cars got the badge but now anybody can buy it and install it: http://www.parts4vws.com/catalog/produc ... 853687BGX2

  10. Removing the rack on a G60 Corrado is the biggest pain in the ass (PITA) The K-frame has to be dropped and the engine has to be supported. I've done a lot of work on corrados before and this is my least favorite job. Its not overly difficult just messy and involved. If I were you I would not risk the chance that a used rack could go at anytime in the future and I'd put in a new or rebuilt one
  11. why not fix this problem? where is the hose blowing off from? is it blowing off of a metal part or a plastic one. pics would be helpful.
  12. I'd like to mod my cluster so that it has a 160mph speedo (see pic below) But my local USA dealer is not able to pull up the part number. Any chance you could look up the price of this part at the dealer for me? 1989-1990 16V 160mph speedo (uses speedo cable) P/N: 535 957 033 A If you happen to have a used one how much would you want for it? I'd also be willing to trade or source parts from the USA if you want (I've parted a few G60s over the years) or maybe you desire some Corrado models. thanks :)
  13. Could you tell me what the numbers in the lower right hand corner of your cluster are for? Cruise control? looks like its for the speed
  14. may I ask what ecu have you decided on?
  15. I had to ask because its usually the times I don't remember are often the times where I have put my foot in my mounth  Just had to ask. :D
  16. sorry I don't remember it a 100%. did I say anything you didn't like :)
  17. I think I enjoy working on it as much as driving it. I just don't like paying for it
  18. I've used lighter fluid like one would use to light a BBQ to clean parts too. Its a petrol product but its a little safer to use and store. Plus its cheap and over here its available at grocery stores for those late night parts cleaning sessions
  19. I've done that at the car wash. But I've heard of a few people taking it to a radiator shop and getting it cleaned and pressure tested. Also one person bought a gallong of carb cleaner and let his IC soak in it. But its definatly worth cleaning

    Carbon Canister

Well I've done this. First I relocated my charcoal canister so that I could get more cool air into the air filter area and then I elminated a lot of vacume lines most of which were for the charcoal canister. But I kept the tube from the gas tank line and still have it plumbed into the charcoal canister and then the large hose is disconected and the canister is able to vent right into the air filter. I suppose you could just route the fuel tank vent hose to the air filter area and skip the canister. But I've heard it can get smelly. I've only had my charcoal canister vented to the air filter setup for 511 miles and I noticed no problems. But then again that 511miles was done in about 3 days while breaking in a charger and then it was off to the track where I broke the tranny
  21. G60Jet I doubt that you have a VIbration dampener problem as these make more of a thud type of sound. But the Dampener is located on the engineside driveshaft (The longer one) But about your vibration. How do you know the mounts are good? Have you inspected the mounting brackets? On one car I found that the dash nuts under the cowl(ECU and wiper motor area) loosened and caused an annoying vibration.
  22. If you were reading the Vortex a month or 2 ago then you might know about the M.I.T. AL charger that only costs $500

    which oil

I don't know if you have it available to you but I use Mobil 1 15W-50 but then again I don't drive my car much in the winter.
  24. What would you consider to be your dream mod to your car. I personally want to build a 20V G60 with standalone
