Taking the rado to bits today to do a cambelt and waterpump change, water pumps impellers were shot. anyway, i was looking at the coolant pipe that houses the 2 coolant temp senders and underneath found another one! nothing was plugged into it. what is it for? ill up-load a picture in a second ---------- Post added at 07:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:56 PM ----------

Since i have had a problem with the C, well about a month, but by corrado standards thats good going! anyway car wasn't getting up to temperature so went about replacing the thermostat (g60) got the power steering pump off, got the flange off, there was HALF of a thermostat in there! actually been cut so just the top ring was left, dont know what cowboy had the car before. put the new one in the same way as got out. but now the car is overheating, sitting at 110 and above and the power steering is down! (yes the belt is back on) any ideas? cheers

its a relay problem! i had that, the contacts had corroded relay 4, 18 stamped on it.

bump, still needed

and incubate the growing rust patches

yesterday driving toward Enfield down the A10 driving infront of a dark blue VR6 gave a thumbs up and got a flash back, then was overtaken and lost it haha!
-
thats impressive, but those wheels are :gag: lol. my car has already had a respray(bad one) and they have tried to blend it and failed, also not taken the bump strips off to do so, so it cant really be fixed with a machine polisher I dont think! but good idea though
-
Its not the change in colour I wanted so much, its just that my cars fading a little, although after reading all this, i think i might just save for a whole respray in tornado red.. but I was quoted £800 for the whole car in wrap, so I could just go with the matt black, although engine bay and inside doors would look a bit sh!t as they are bright red
-
well, I can deal with a little bid of fading, or a few little scratches, but that picture, isnt far off the 'good' doors i have received haha!
-
Still looking for one of these, in GOOD condition, i have bought two now that were in 'good' condition that were actually horsesh!t. cheers,

I don't want to have to get my car resprayed because that involves removing windows and alike and I don.t have any problems with rot so I cant see any other reason to do that. So I was thinking about wrapping, matt black was my first idea, but I have seen that a lot and it can be done pretty easily with rattle cans. So what I was thinking was a chrome wrap. although garish, it looks quite nice, on some top spec cars I have seen, after you get used to it, and I haven't seen it done before. opinions?

Haha, ok. I probably should have just googled it to save the abuse! so from the pictures uploaded am I to believe that KW is a good brand?

It was wet today, maybe an ignition problem? check HT leads and dizzy? might have water leaking in. had this problem on my car, turned out to be the main ht lead was split
-
I swear I saw a thread on here a while back saying that on some g60's the towing eye cover inter-cooler side was taken off to aid air flow? ---------- Post added at 07:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:05 PM ---------- however I see you have a 1.8 16v so maybe not
-
Well the most obvious answer would be that it is actually rounded off? mine are all standard bolts, if it helps.

sorry, that would have helped wouldnt it, its a G60, 91, i was going to, its just i was doing a big order from euros so figured i may aswell. just looking around and this one http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_1.8_1991/p/car-parts/car-service-parts/regular-service/fuel-filter/?503440030&1&eaa5ce0c762b3d7cacd4c6a7d77a754a36656f76&000140 goes in the opposite direction!
-
I have bought this http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Volkswagen_Corrado_1.8_1991/p/car-parts/car-service-parts/regular-service/fuel-filter/?503440031&1&eaa5ce0c762b3d7cacd4c6a7d77a754a36656f76&000140 guttman fuel filter, and it doesn't have arrows to indicate what way round it goes? im assuming that the wider end goes toward the rear of the car, like how the old one is in, but can anyone confirm this? also with fuel filter change, is it just old one out new one in? cheers

i would check the subframe, i had a similar issue caused by a crack, which later snapped. causing the wheel to fall into the car
