Corrado Spotting! Was it you? [Archive November 05]
vr6corrado replied to Dub_nut_g60's topic in General Car Chat
Green rado heading towards Manc about 2.30pm yesterday on the M61 by Bolton services. I was travelling in the opposite direction. -
Anyway, back to topic I recommend the Origin b2 which I have. It has a removable laser detection module and if you're interested I may part with it since I now take the train to work due to the distance I work from home.

dinkus' silver VR - I think I have a problem
vr6corrado replied to dinkus's topic in Members Gallery
I'm really liking that and you're right it certainly looks more modern - silver seems to knock years off certain car's age and the C is one of them. Enjoy :) -
Saw Majik earlier this evening and had a brief chat with him, must say the Campaign interior looks much better in the flesh so to speak and love the wheels 8)

I think I know the one you mean, is it a K reg with red script badges? In a car park off Wilmslow Rd? He never seems interested!
-
Sean, sorry to hear this mate, speak to you soon.

Spotted as few recently: a green VR6 L*** XHP about 6pm on Thursday afternoon in Stretford/Chorlton; a little later a grey G reg I think on Wilbraham Rd in Chorlton; a black and very shiny G60 judging by the number plate G6 0xx with nice wide wheels about 3am on Fri night/Sat morning on the A34 Kingsway in Fallowfield/Burnage; a dark C parked up in Liverpool near all the bars on Sat night with for sale signs in the windows, J reg with non standard typeface on the number plate; finally a blue VR A6 *** on the M62 eastbound that I followed for about 20 miles as soon as I joined from the M60. edit: oh I nearly forgot another grey K reg VR on Kingsway too that I normally see parked up off Wilmslow Rd in Withington.

Traffic Cop Gets away with driving at 159mph
vr6corrado replied to G60Jet's topic in General Car Chat
The court cleared him but two senior traffic cops both declined to classify his driving as dangerous when giving evidence - for the prosecution. However I do think that ambulance driver shouldn't have been banned. -

Hmm they're protecting each other it seems. Wonder what car he was in? -
Grey L reg in Liverpool just by Liverpool Digital. Sounded like it had a meaty exhaust. Driver was going in the opposite direction to me but seemed oblivious - around 12.45pm today.

Manchester Car Audio I have used them for all my ICE and alarm work and they are reliable honest guys and good value too. VSIB approved too. On the A6 in south Mcr. 0161 225 2222

I remember him having a VR mrk 3, dont remember ever hearing he had a Corrado. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him with one he could easily afford a fleet the money hes on. Im just waiting to see one in some Quentin tarantino movie its sure to be on his list Id give it another couple of yrs but id nearly bet on an SLC showing up in some film on the big screen. Im surprised one hasn’t been in a music video or top gear retro classics show. Yep there were several Man Utd players who had Golf VR6s around '94 I think...

I was on the M62 to Liverpool on Saturday night, joined from Manchester and came across a debadged silver mk3 golf. It was a P reg and it was was seriously quick. Just wondered if anyone knows what may have been under the bonnet. I'm sure he was going at over 140mph (gps) at some point...

Very nice, those wheels really suit the car.

I think a more appropriate question would be 'which alarm installer?' not 'which alarm?' since most alarms which malfunction are due to the quality of the install, as many people have said before! A well fitted Clifford unit is a good alarm although contains many often unnecessary features which bumps up the cost.
-
Absolutely, but you won't know that until you purchase said other car, then it's too late. It's the same with all cars, especially ones that have surpassed 5 years of age. Agreed, but less reliable cars can be cheaper to run due to lower cost of parts.

I love the colour, stunning!
-
Sorry to hear about this Dave, hopefully it should soon be sorted in your favour.

Dark H reg about 10.15am yesterday (Friday) on the A6 in Levenshulme heading towards Stockport, didn't see me.

**Group Buy** VR6 BMC CDA Filters **10% DISCOUNT AGAIN!**
vr6corrado replied to andy's topic in Engine Bay
Hmm may well be interested depending on when the actual buy takes place and price of course. -
True, depreciation may be heavier on other cars but will we spend as much maintaining 'other' cars?
-
You mean Rowan Atkinson? I also remember him having a 456GT as well, he's into his cars. Jim it maybe a little over your budget and I know you're not too bothered about extreme performance but the Mitsu Galant VR4 isn't a bad car and often overlooked.

Wow, looks stunning. Get that pic in the gallery!
