You can get in touch with Meta here http://www.metasystem.co.uk/ or you can use the website to find your nearest Meta dealer. If you can, get a quote for the work needed to repair the alarm first though because as benji16v says you can get a decent cat 1 alarm for well under £300 and old alarms can be unreliable. Then again it could just be a loose wire or connection. As for self-arming this is a requirement for cat 1 approval but can be disabled, even if the alarm is no longer in production your nearest Meta approved dealer should be able to help you with instructions etc.

AndyVR6, hope it gets sorted in your favour, I'm a fan of the 200SX as well.
-
AndyVR6, I seem to remember you were thinking about getting a 200SX, did you not bother in the end?

Mystic Blue storm on the M1 southbound N*** VNV this afternoon. I followed you for about 15 miles past Chesterfield until I turned off at the services.

Red with private plate DUI *** or was spaced like that anyway - could be DU 1*** spotted at around 1.30 pm today in Stockport. It was also sporting an England flag on the aerial.

Seanovr was offered less than that as trade in but it was only a speculative enquiry and his vr is in very good nick. I wouldn't even consider trading it in - sell it privately if you really want to change cars.

Yes Evo has it at 6.2 and Autocar's roadtest time is 6.4 seconds.

Hmm. I just realised I'm thinking of the aux water pump, where is the thermostat housing? By the expansion tank? EDIT - it's ok found it in another post!

Thanks Kev I'm going to try now...

Right got the part from gsf because I couldn't be bothered to wait for the stealer to order it in. Where is it located and how do I change it? Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
-
Thanks vr6storm I will try that tomorrow. EDIT: Is this a part the stealer holds or will it have to be ordered in?

I have been following this and similar posts for a while now, because my car is suffering from the same symptons. I'm absolutely useless with car diy  so I don't understand some of the fienr points of this thread but here goes - sorry if I'm repeating stuff but I need some advice. On the same day my aux water pump died and was bypassed temporarily so I could get the aux pump fro m the stealers (coincidence?) I had major problems starting the car after a run whilst the engine was warmed up. It happened one more time a month ago - each time it would fire up, then splutter and die. Pressing the gas had no effect. (I posted somerwhere but can't find it.) Now yesterday and today it has been doing it almost from cold - it died about 200 metres from my house luckily I had just pulled in to a petrol station so I just sat there trying evry few mnutes and eventually it started up after about 15 minutes. (this was a bit embarrasing because people were looking at me thinking 'He's run out of fuel and he's at a petrol station - Why doesn't the fool just put some fuel in??' Anyway started up fine this evening and it died about a minute later and took about 20 minutes to restart. And died again a few times. Sorry for the long story all I need to know is what should I try and in what order - bearing in mind cost - I'm a student :( Can anybody some up what's been said in this and similar posts (no names Kev ;) ) By the way it's almost due a service so should I do that at the same time or get this done first?

Black K reg with Momo arrows spotted about 3:30 pm today on the roundabout by the pyramid in Stockport.

I thought it had something to do with the word 'narrow' as in narrow angle :?:

They're just different units to measure the same thing.

I saw a mint N reg storm in mystic blue parked up in the Parrs Wood complex about 9pm last night. Slipped a little note under the wiper mentioning this forum.

Maybe not the tyre pressures but thought I'd share this. I knew I was going to be doing a lot of motorway driving so I checked them at a garage I don't normally go to for air and they seemed very low so I filled them with more air til 36psi front and 32psi rear on the guage and the car was all over the lane on fast bends on the motorway. So I checked them with a footpump when I got home and the pressures were considerably overinflated! Moral of the story - don't trust every garage's airline.! -
Yes Kev I overtook him eventually but didn't push too hard. Incidentally I overtook one of those big Jeep Cherokee's on the motorway today and I was impressed by its sheer grunt considering how much they must weigh.

Yes it was :) Did I pass you on the A52, you were heading into Notts? Yes I couldn't remember the road but I had just come off the M1. Good to see we acknowledged each other. At last! I have been spotted. Your C looked very clean by the way 8)

Sorry to go a little off topic but had a run in with a V reg WRX last night from standstill - left me well behind from standstill and sounded fantastic too - but once the speeds were up there wasn't much in it.
