To those who ordered the additional pressure switch, unfortunately it is obsolete! :( So I will be refunding people the cost of it and you will need to source via GSF/Maplin's etc . Hi all, Classic Parts have only x5 RHD Facelift VDO Gauges in stock which were taken from the main warehouse this year. They will not reproduce them but they seem to be allot cheaper from them than when they were available through normal channels. Original RRP: £265.64 Special Price: £169.00 delivered. The pressure switch is obsolete but it's essentially a 1 pin oil pressure switch that can be purchased from Maplins etc Was just a heads up really, but to get them at this price I would need x3 paid and confirmed orders. Right, where do I start! After being without a second car for two months the itch started and I snapped up a 2000 'X' E39 BMW 520 Auto Estate from work. Fully loaded with cream leather, cruise, climate control, full BMW history etc etc. It had done 100,000 miles so the front was stone chipped to hell, but when you pay £1000 such things are irrelevant. Had it for 24 hours and as it was an Estate thought it would suit my brother better, so I ended up selling it to him for what I paid for it. So, the plan was to wait for the next bargain to appear at work. Which happened much faster than I thought! A 2004 Jaguar S Type 3.0 SE manual with 100k and finished in Racing Green. Being an 04 model it was the facelifted galvanised model (not the earlier problematic one based on the Lincoln) has leather and electric everything (nav and phone prep are only things missing), full independent Jag specialist history. Not a scratch or dent on it. I won't state how little I paid for it but lets just say it was below £2000.... Anyway, I picked the Shaguar up today from work and 10 miles home a deer decides to commit suicide and run in front of me... Result? £200 in second hand parts (with the possibility of a broken air con rad) plus painting and weekends work. Just my luck :( But either way, still costing me less than £2000 even with the little mishap ;)

"The Weak ones fall, the strong carry on". Many being broken for spares now. Good thing being it keeps the better stuff going and increases the rarity and therefore the value. It's important not to get to sentimental about it when the car in question is already a rotter. I mean, the red one on the other thread is a classic example of a car which people think is worth saving because it was photographed in a weekly car magazine. Really?....

Do you remember that episode of Alan Partridge where his fan/stalker had loads of Alan Partridge masks in his house? Well, Kev's garage is much the same except instead of masks it's VR6 engine blocks, intake manifolds and various other VR stuff :D

Noticed that all the parts for the retrofit are available from Classic Parts & Dealers. Downsides? Drilling of your bumper required, as well as the wiring and retrofit of a bigger washer bottle. Estimated cost for the parts is around £250 delivered which consists of a new washer pump, bottle, two jets, piping, connectors and wiring. Anyone interested? It was a pretty rare option so you'll be unique ;)
