So, put in the bulb in the instrument cluster today and back on. Dead easy, just take off the two upper screws, remove 2 broken plastic screw covers down, and then remove instrument cluster frame. The undo two screws either on the middle or on top each side, to remove the glass and black cover or the whole instrumentation cluster. Then remove the little multicable blockon the rear plus the airtube for the G-lader, but only if taking it all out. I chose to take the lot out to give it a god cleaning too: Then prise the glass and black cover off: Lift off the left side diode cover: Here you can see the broken bulb: Lift it out with some pliers, and nte which way it sits: prise out the old blue cover and oress in the new one from the underside, and then insert the new bulb by hand: Then put back on glass/black cover, Tighten the two screws, one each side, not that you get the reset button through the glass, Insert instrument cluster into panel, put tube and multiconnector back on, insert and tighten two screws, one each side near top, test for correct function and screw back on the cluster surround. Note: I have the newer version two digital face version, but the old interrior in my G60 (1991), and I did not have to take off anything else, incl. the steering wheel which on my car is not adjustable. For easy handleling you can chose to remove the fuse cover and lower shelf to ease the cable access etc, but not really needed. ½ hour job in total and then I don't blind the oncomming trafic any more ;) Cheers, Redfox.
2. Hmm, I think I wrote it in the wrong thread. So I also sent a PM. Thanks for pointing it out. Cheers, Redfox.
3. Hi all, As it is usually happening, I managed to break off a tiny bot of one of the two little clips on each of the two black plastic covers that cover the two lower instrument cluster fixation screws. Does anyone know where to get them? Cheers, Redfox.
4. Please mail me 4 new sets, as the others got stolen in the mail. I'll be happy to pay again plus extra for secures mail and good wrapping. I sent you a PM also. Cheers, Redfox.

Small update. To get rid of any little play in the gearshift, I bought these bits and bobs, and installed them in the engine compartment today: Hmm, can't really see too much on the picture, but they are all for the gearcable shift arms above the gearbox, plus a new lamp for long beam control. Made for a nice precise better gearchange after I adjusted and lubed it all up, which was real easy. I'll have the bracket made in stainless or just get a new surface on it, when I find a company who'll do it. Maybe we should ask Fave 16v if he would fancy making one up, as they cannot be bought any more from vw ?? Up next is the bits and bobs on the gearstick and a shortshift (much needed). Cheers, Redfox
6. Congrats on the baby and the Corrado driving. Never mind the bmw, but good as a workhorse ;) Cheers, Redfox.
7. Yeah, let him (the driver of the lorry) tell that to the family whose father have just been beheaded... ;( ;( ;( Cheers, Redfox.
8. Hi James, Here's a picture of the broken bolster. Looks worse that it is. But still a crappy thing. Anyway, I am going to order some stuff from furnitureclinic today or tomorrow. But I cannot dye it black as long as it have this damage. Cheers, Redfox.
9. Ah! So nicer lights did come around. Really a shame that Karmann and VW did not put them into production via Hella or someone else. A bit funny since they came out for both Mk. II and III Golfs and Jetta. Hmm, a painted numberplate holder as well... Would like a set though as I find the standard a tad boring and not so sporty. Leds plus tint sounds like worth a try. Don't want something flashy or japscrap like, just a bit nicer. I my humble view all the clear lights with crome inserts and I don't know what looks horrible, and makes the car look like a plastic toy kit from china (china not meant nicely). ;) Cheers, Redfox.
10. I guess some of us already went into party-mode, and I won't be able to write later tonight  Cheers, Redfox.
11. Didn't get mine yet. I guess they got away by royal mail ;( Could I please order 4 new sets (8 rollers) please? Cheers, Redfox.
12. Hi all Corrado fans! From here should sound a loud and clear Happy New Year 2011/2012 to all of you and your families and friends. And your Corrado's as well ! Cheers, Redfox :bday:
13. NICE! That looks so good and elegant in that colour with those seats! Black wouldn't cut it here, only grey leather ;) Good Job. Question: Since I got myself a Recaro leather interior in same grey colour with a apprx. 10cm broken seam on the sidebolster of the drivers back, how did you repair that? I can supply a pic if so needed. Cheers, Redfox.
14. Congrats on your newborn! Cheers, Redfox.
15. Looks good. But true, the centers are too cromed. On my set, the center "nuts" were larger or rather deeper. These look more like RM things. Anyway, nice wheels. Cheers, Redfox.
16. Looks good. Ia m sure it will come out just super fine. Man, I wish I could learn to rebuild a G-lader myself. Is it hard? Or any special knowledge or skills? Cheers, Redfox :x-mas:
17. A question for all of you wiser guys then: Did any Corrado ever come with other than standard coloured rear lights? (say a Storm or something else)? And if not, then why not? as the Golf's came in various versions ab factory?? Sorry to be ot, but these red rear lights (with a white reverse square), looks really good in my view. Cheers, Redfox.
18. Hmm, that might just be a tiny bit more difficult having an aluminium bar across the luggage compartment ;) Cheers, Redfox :x-mas:
19. I tend to agree with bristolbaron, but there are but's. For example the RS001 I had on my former MKII was made 7*15" from factory. I had the original bolts, nuts and tools and the original receipt too. That is to say they were virgins, unmolested airtight ones. The RM set I also had wer utterly crap, and wouldn't hold air even after being renovated, and since they don't ahve nuts on the backside, they are really hard to get airtight in comparison to RS's. But many people today have bent a rim edge or go bananas in width so they get copies of the outer rims. Then they are hardly original any more. This is not said to be a snob ;) I think I've seen a few nice LM copies which is a more modern wheel to the Corrado. The RS's just can't be beaten in style. Hard to fin a set in 16" four bolt patern to fit an old G60 though. And cost the same as a Corrado around these waters. Good luck on your RS purchase, adn let's see some nice pics when put on your Corrado. Cheers, Redfox.
20. Only had that once in a dark heavy rain evening in the middle of the capital, when there was a total obscure trafic jam all over. A driver in a huge 14-wheeler decided to press me into the oncoming directional trafic, and I chose to brake and blend in. No need to stand up for my rights as I could have been squeezed and he wouldn't even have noticed. I guess he just didn't see me. Wonder why as my Corrado is a tall one at 125 cm??? Cheers, Redfox :x-mas:
21. MMMmmmm, certainly looks like a new car to me ;) Cheers, Redfox.
22. I don't have them at home now (borrowed to a friend), but I found the look of 215/45-16 better than 205/40-17. The steering is a bit numb on the 16" compared to the 17 setup. Weight of rims is also a factor here, as my 17" are very light. I've tried a set of standard Sebring with good Toyo 195/50-15 too, and they are okay but a bit grandad like. The 195/50-15 looks fine speaking of the hight of the tyres, but too small for the big arches for that car. the 16" setup goes better, but I really prefer the 17" setup. The steering is best with the 17 low profile tyre in my humble view. Then comes the narrower 15", then the fat 215 16". This was done one the same KW Inox line V1 coilvers, which I got a few months ago. Overall I really prefer the 205/40-17 which is Goodyear Eagle F1 on BBS RC323 rims plus Eibach arb's front and rear, plus Eibach strut tower bar front upper and Wiechers front lower, plus Wiechers rear upper, plus near full powerflex bushes. 16 inch wheels: and the 17": Sorry I don't have pics of the 15" Sebrings, but if any good for you, I throw in a pic of similar Sebrings on my former Golf: Hope it's of any use ;) Cheers, Redfox.
23. Nice interrior to your Corrado. Surely looks better and more well built inside, so it fits the outside. And nice colour on your Corrado too. I recently bought a grey set. Restoring it now. But I want the black version, because it makes the car look so much more sporty and tough, plus the added benefit of nothing disturbing your view/vision/sight when all is black. ps: my Corrado is flashred. Cheers, Redfox.

So after going to church and eating ourselves completely stuffed out, I sneaked out in the garage to do some initial cleaning of the Recaro seats. This is after cleaning them twice, which made it considderably nicer that before I commenced the initial cleaning: Doing this: Using these things to clean it up initially. The brush is for doing the dishes, and have natural hairs that does not harm the leather: This is one of the front seats after 3'rd initial cleaning. Came up okay and much lighter grey and cleaner than the other, which wasn't done yet: Cheers, Redfox :x-mas:

Hello Hasan, Thanks for the kind words. I use the other doorcard as a template. Then hold it up and file down edges until it fits perfectly. Then I glue it on. Then work with one layer of glassfiber at a time. Then one layer on the other side. Then repeat it over again and so on, untill you are satisfied. Then you sand it down to smoothen it, and glue back the foam and leather/nappa. One the pictures I've shown, I am not finished yet. I need to do the same procedure on the little thin edge towards the dooropening at both sides. Will do it here in the Christmas. I would say that it you do it like described, it will be stronger than original. You can actually do the other side before it breaks. NOTE: working with this is very very poisenous, so wear a carbon filter mask and so on!!! Cheers, Redfox.
