i need some one to transfer my corrado G60 engine into a mk2 golf, due to unforseen circumstances my mate cannot do it for me, and i do not have the knowledge or confidence to carry out on my own. the engine is all still in the corrado so all the loom can be sorted out however the helper wants, i basically need the engine switchin over and running in a basic form as i can finish off extra touches if anyone know's how and has the time and could do with a wad of cash, i would be most appreciative i live in the northants area, and work during the week day's, so am free all wkend and nights cheers in advance for reading Luke

has any tuning company tried a supercharger along with a turbo... ???? completey away from the VAG scene but nissan did a 1 ltr super turbo special with sumit like 130bhp,
-
lovely pic, mine did exactly the same and in the same place, don't forget you'll probably need a new I/C as well as the little bits from your charger would have gone that way

looking to get the best performance out of the car, as the car is used only for the strip was just trying to see if it would be worth it, if it's gonna do damage to the car then obviously i will over look this, but if it's ok, then in effect it's upping my power so i can up my boost to match for even greater power. also saw a mk1 g60 do it in 14.20 with only a small amount of mod's Stg 4, zorst, chargecooler, filter is this an excetptional time or do you reakon i'll be beating this with a mk2 golf  with around 300 ponys

can i run my G60 drag car on racing fuel, spoke to a chap at pod yesterday selling the stuff, he say's basically the fuel is leaded and vairies from 103-130octane fuel and said that it's not suitable for cars with CAT's, as mine is removed can i do this or should i just stick to the optimax + octane booster :?:

get one get one, i had indicated 153mph in a standard G60 after a new recon charger, got a 8v golf 110mph top's will be maiting them together for fun, the responce from the engine when at 80 is sweet just the rides so smooth and effortless you don't even realise you've passed 100mph.

we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??

23, with a rate of another different vw every 3-5 months, can't help but buy a bargain, nothing to do with the age but just blurted it out anyway -

probably been asked before but couldn't find it, and there maybe fresh ideas out there, subject says it all my engine is the standard G60 1.8 want to increase this, whats better 1.9 or 2.0 have seen many people saying 2.0 is not good for the engine as it leaves the case walls to thin, i will be using nitrous  on the car so want to rebuild the engine anyway for safety, prices and places to go would be helpfull to

been offered a vr6 box with 77k on it paying £250 (not bad i think) when going to look is this all i have to check Check for diff backlash by turning the input shaft back and forth and also for output shaft bearing play by wobbling it as hard as you can. If no weird noises or play, you're good to go :thumb right: cheers to all for advice now see my next question (i have millions :) , and you have the knowledge) :!:

-
need a quick reply if poss, been offered a Corrado Vr6 box for £375 with average miles on it (below 100k) does this sound good or should i offer less
-
the vr is nice but the noise of the charger acelerating or de-celerating is wicked, which has the best standard or non standard top speed though, i managed to get 153mph  in standard form, from my G60 with 11mpg :(
-
G60 aint a good drag engine either. too short on engine revs. you gotta change too often. i know but know one would buy the engine after my crash so instead of letting it rot away or basically give'n it away i thought what the hell right then shopping list 1 VR gearbox Drag spools Paddle clutch any offers? will be making my way to the for sale area now me thinks... is the corrado vr box the same as the mk3 golf vr box as i've seen a couple of these for sale also anybody know where i can get a set of wheels and slicks or any wheels thats are 6" wide

just about to start a G60 conversion after my late raddo's barrier surgery, will mostly be using it for Pod obviously i'm looking ath the best terminal et not so much bothered about messing about in the streets, before i fit it i need to know do i use the G60 box and put a Quaiffe LSD and paddle clutch in it or do the same with a VR unit or as someone has mentioned to me using a drag spool and paddle clutch in the G60 box (sorry forgot to mention will be looking at producing a fair amount of bhp :) any advice will be much appreciated
