  1. ahhhh, maybe there just cleaner then, couldn't tell the colour on the ones in the car, hidden, by muck and lack of light,
  2. the injectors on my spare head are green in colour, are these uprated ones or are the red ones better
  3. daz so i don't need that switch on then, also i'll bring it down to you, what would you do to it?, as i might get some off the work i want doing at the same time
  4. right then fitted the bosch ones not much difference really, but when looking at my spare head, i notices a bit different to my car, the fuel pump run on pressure switch is gone and the fuel line blocked off, would this be removed with the charcol cannister or boost return or could this be my problem, where did it go and what did it do??
  5. no actually, i've got some NGK one is in would they make the difference, i know the bosch one's are colder but do they, could this be it, whats the time 00.28 i'm off the the lock-up, i know there is a set of bosch plugs in my spare head!!!! yay yay yay yay, p.s you've got my hopes up now so i maybe crying soon
  6. just lately, and yes it's exactly 1mtr long, is there any difference in a 1.8 16v vacume pipe, could try that, also gonna get some of that samco vac hose know which size i need by any chance 3mm borex2mm wall- 4x2- 5-2.5- 6.3-2.5- 8x3 or 9x3
  7. well only jabba are near me, but didn't like them much, would love to treck down to you daz, but it's a long way, fixed all the brakes and bearings now so a road trip could be arranged, will have to book in with you my friend then, would it be costly, also daz you got mail in the G-werks e-mail. cheers
  8. well i did the check that you take off the sensor from the water pipe bit and the cars idle goes funny, so i led to belive all sensors are ok, could i just take it to my local RR, what things can they check, so i can ask???
  9. still got my performance problem, just wondering could my car need a tune-up after certain mods, i've removed the CAT and fitted a zorst, put twin inlets on the charger, removed the carbon cannister and power steering setup, fitted a rallye intercooler, samcos and RS outlet, but the car is as exciting as my mk1 gti, with less pull, tried the timing, checked for boost leaks, and done a-z on all pipes, could my car be under fueling, i am led to beileve that the ECU should sort it's self out but is it, should it be setup in a garage, to tell that dam ECU to start pumpin more juice???

    G60 Samco hoses

    fitting my new hose kit and there are 2 pipes left one that looks like a K and another that is a small 10cm straight pipe bout 30mm bore, where do they go please, i will try to post some pics much abliged
  11. i've got the magnex with de-cat & 4-1manifold, but still quiet, love it, can only hear the charger anyway

    got a set of bosch ones in the head i bought there brand new so will try them, it got worse today, a vauxhall chavaler overtook me today and i could even catch up :oops:

    still no luck, could spark plugs cause a problem as i used a set of ngk ones that i had lying around, instead of thr wd-thingys

    right then, relpace the vacume hose going to the throttle with one from a 1.8 16v hope this is the correct size, but still no joy was nearly double the length of the one i replaced though!!, also have removed the carbon cannister, blocked off all those pipe or should they have gone else ware??
  16. you can remove the power steering pump just by taking the belt off, it only runs the pump so no problems there just heavy steering

    cool, explains in my language cheers, i also have the 4-1 manifold, so should i replace the vacume hose with a new one off the correct length

    well its not runnn nasty just ain't quick, dissapointing really, but i know the vacume hose has been shortened, so you say this could be it,if more than 5cm has been taken off, keep my fingers crossed, whats does the vacume hose do?? gonna buy a boost guage and check the boost that way as well me thinks, is it supposed to be 11psi?

    tried this can't find any boost leaks, and still seems slow, i mean it's quick but although noiser seems just a little bit quicker than the 8v taken out,any other ideas peeps, heard that the vacume hoes that goes to the ecu is exactly a mtr long and must be, if this is shorter would that make a difference??

    after my Q/A on the boost noise, i'm still not getting any noise, put my hand under the butterfly on the throttle and can feel air being expelled, but no satisfying noise, also the car doesn't seem to pull like it used to, after all the simple mods iv'e done it actually seems alot slower than standard, what things could i check, the charger makes loads of noise so one assumes this is ok????? how can i check for boost leaks???
  21. i shall try it tomorrow, have been driving like a old granny so havent even booted it till 3k just gradually to it, cheers all
  22. i know the answer but just wanna be sure, got the car back now and haven't broken 3k revs yet and won't till i hit 500miles, but as i'm only hitting 3k im obviously not making much boost if any, what sort of rev's do i have to hit or drive like to hear this WHOOOOSH sound when i decelerate.
