  1. on the repair side, can't be bothered (and can't afford it), it needs a basically a front end plus a driveshaft, good side, airbag didn't go off, and it wasn't insured so no claim made on it
  2. ive been offered it for £500, was thinking the engine is probably worth that
  3. been offered a k,reg mk3 vr, 100k front n/s damage planning on stripping the car and selling all parts, any ideas what its worth, i.e the engine as a conversion to someone, or possibly could fix the car as it's not been insurance wrote off, so hpi clear
  4. i to was forced to pay £13 for a 70mm duct (green cotten product @ halfords) as it was all i could find in this size, must say works a treat though
  5. i did want to have it all done at the same time but as the cars running so bad (40bhp down), idle's pants, glowing exhaust when floored (happend once and haven't taken it over 3k since) so the remap has been brought forward, but have the Fpr anyway and wanted to get the red tops done, so there done big bang is on at the end of april so will be racing so it has to be running right, then have the charger/engine work done straight after why don't you need a 3.5 with the new chip though??
  6. yep daz higlighted it last time i went to him he noticed black stuff coating my new samco hose, but its not a major amount but still needs doing asap, just waiting for my insurance cash to come to me and it'll be there,
  7. i am having the 3.5fpr/red tops and it remapped v soon andthe charger done around june time but then having the toothed belt kit, but was just gonna get the chip n pulley to tyed me over as it being remapped, but didn't know if it was worth it as the charger is standard and in need of a rebuild as it leaking a little oil now.

  11. oooohh me want, one day cant wait to do a real burnout, always see people waisting there street tyres, i want to get some real action pics when lighting up the tyres
  12. big bang VW festival is the next for me, i up for some competition, would be great to see what is does against a fellow G60, or if you just post when your next going i can try to pop in, got my slicks as well now so when its sorted i want at least a 14

    fuel pressure

    i believe i have fitted it backwards now, got no destructions with it so, i'm guessing the fuel has to flow a certain way, as i squeezed the fuel pipe and the pressure went up, so probably looking at around 3-5 as you said. acheive nothing really just saw this shiny guage and had to have it, but obviously want it to work

    fuel pressure

    fitted a fuel pressure guage today and am wondering what pressure in psi should it be, the guage is plummed in the pipe that runs from the fuel pump to the regulator if you haven't seen it before and plummed in it is currently sitting at 14 psi, can't imagin it's fitted wrong as its just plug between the pipe, (no electricals)
  15. yes i will be playing with the charger very soon but wanted to get as much out of the engine before i did.
  16. just a quick thought but when someone tells you your back box is glowing bluey white thats not a good thing, admitably we were having a little rece but he saw it when i over took him, if the back box glows id hate to see the manifold
  17. you will, civics are rubbish in straight lines (read that on a civic forum) plus i beat a type R (filter, exhaust) at pod last wkend in my poorly running G60

    cheers, will make the parts man smile for another week, dam car still need to get it remapped as well and fix a few niggle and to top it of my reg plate came off today, theres another 15 quid
  22. bloody car, sumit every week this week she is demanding a new starter motor and water pump, is it best for me to buy genuine or go GSF etc or maybe some one breaking
  23. possibly right, didn't really want to go, cause i knew the car wasn't running right but had promised to go. oh well, i'll arange to have it remapped and re-tuned properly by the master, and fit a few more things, she can sit outside for the rest of the month and think about what she did!!
  24. well i was hoping for a early 15 possibly a 14 today but oh well, was thinking more power smaller wheels it should add up. bah how does boost work, i did have 8psi and with the head fitted i'm getting 6psi obvioulsy that 2 psi is now being used, but what does that mean, what does boost do??
  25. yes it is on standard injectors, i have a 3.5 fpr but the car needs setting up more to fit this (i believe) the only thing is i'm getting poppin sounds from the exhaust when i change gear at over 5k which leads me to belive that it's over fueling a bit, and the A/F guage seems to report all is fine and yes to the starting thats what i did pulled away slowly as soon as i was moving floored it, not that much wheelspin, unlike some muppet in a g60 who decided to spin in 1st and 2nd then wondered why he got late 17's
