need some ideas/advice for my G60 drag car i will be running around 300+bhp and still need to uprate the gearbox and diff the options i have at the mo are rebuild g60 box using VR internals and a pelequin diff or quaiffe 6 speed box or ?? any other boxes out there that i could use , also what are the advantages of straight cut gears and seqential shifters but i don't really want to be spending all the cash on the original box and then it brakes when i start givin it some
-
if the 2ltr use the same as the 1.8 valver then pm robbymac as he's currently breaking about 3 engine and i sure he'll do you a good price, if you get no reply by tomorrow pm me your number and i'll pass it to him

sorry to be a pain, c/o pot that is the screw behind the sensor on the boost pipe right?? which way and how do i check its at 760ohms,
-
everyone already looks anyway, i get so much abuse, always get told to slow down in the high street when im only doing 15mph, winds me up a treat, so roll on the new one! one of the 1st things i do when its fitted is go through the dartford tunnel and have a friend film it top gear style
-
mine was 4.1% i think, (MOT not at hand) as for fixing it i have'nt been bothered yet as i am having to borrow a friends charger, as mine grenaded, have just set up the car to work normally aspirated and am gonna get the garage to set it all up on the day of mot, as i want a mot on it for when the bahn brenner gets fitted
-
YAY can't wait my bahnbrenner arrives in 19days and i have gone for the 53mm pulley would you say it's a nice noize/ mean grrrrrr!!
-
why would you want to stop it escaping???
-
i have the same problem failed badly on emmisions way of the scale yet the car runs fine
-
now as above i've fitted the guage but to be honest i don't know what i'm looking at, the needle sits at about 25psi on idle and will move with the revs, i havn't see it in action fully as i couldn't drive the car as the MOTs ran out, in all what should the guage be telling me i.e figures, explanations, danger things to look for if possible ohhh it's on a G60
-
can you just open one up, jabba told me that if you open one up it need all new seals then, or was that just to stop me opening it up to find the truth
-
another happy customer, and another dent to jabbapoo one of my friends just bought a G60 last month, the charger was over haulled by jabba 18 months ago then was rebuild again but to Stage4 only 6 months ago, i was just changing a pipe for him today and noticed its already leaking oil down the exhaust side, qualtiy service ahy
-
you can order the nology ones in ripspeed/halfords but they cost £170, i couldn't bring myself to spend that on leads, so i got the magnicor ones
-
get a resistor chip off ebay, costs about 30quid, fitted one to my GTtdi and RR'd at 180bhp. thats £1 for 1 bhp good value, had no problems and you can fit it yourself
-
yep fitted a manual overide, works wonders when i'm queing to run at santa pod
-
i'm seeing figures off 190F when pondering around and 210F when giving it some, what does this equate to in Celcius is it high, fitting my mocal this wkend so hope that helps
-
tis legal you just have to inform you insurance of it
-
getting nos in the very near future, as i can get a good price on a kit, going for the 50 jets then 100 when i have the new forged and heat treated bottom end. but none of that fast and furious button malarky, im getting the progressive setup, so it injects the NOS when i hit WOT.
-
would the leak fail on a MOT though, thats all i really need to do it for as it runs out a week before the bahnbrenner arrives, i didn't remove the adapter just put a bolt in there and it gushed like a goodun, i take it that the oil lines in the charger are sealed and if i hook it up the oil should hopefully just flow in a circle (or close to)
-
i couldn't plug the oil lines, the oil made it's way out everytime and i don't want to use any sealer, if i leave the charger on (with no belt connecting it) and connect the oil feeds back up, with the oil flow correctly or does it need the charger to turn to keep the flow going
-
i belive the crossflow i better because the inlet manifold is on the opposite side of the head this not being directly above the exhaust
-
sorry to hijact this thread, how much does having the chains done cost, as i looked at a vr tonight and it was still on the original chains @ 118k and would be the first thing i doo
