right after flicking around for a bit and lots of searching im struggling to find some definitive figures on setting up a 1.8 kr. sorry if its been asked a bunch before but im struggling a little here. a few questions. 1. correct ignition timing? according to the vw technical handbook it's 6 ± 1 degree btdc.but i've read other places from 6 to 8? so i disconnect the red plug, set the timing gun to 6 degrees and then do i point it at the flywheel or do i point at the mark on the crank pulley? 2. correct CO content. VW say it's 1 ± 0.5%. however i've read on other sites it's better to set it at 2%. 3. finally what order should i set these up? is it -set timing. -set co -set idle -turn off, reconnect everything a recheck? thanks for your patience! :)

doing an early to late door card conversion, and so far i've sorted the cards and grab handels. i'm still after the mounting brackets plus the two window switches and mirror adjust. (i think thats all i need)? thanks alot :thumbleft: steven

thanks guys haha. the camera wasnt anything serious, just a pentax KX running the kit lens. the whole video is a little dark really as the lens isnt fast enough to capture darker scenes well. we were only messing around though. :)
