out of the 3 i would go for apex, the FK are good, but bloody stiff, as i would imagine the APs are. Apex is a higher end brand

Yer man its such a fustrating thing, about 2/3 years ago before i really knew rhys and his capabilities (the painter) i got the rado painted at a "Well respected" paint shop near me, and quite frankly by my standards its ****, it cost me 2k and they rushed it (AN ENTIRE RESPRAY) did it in 2 days, i kick myself every day as i did get a price from rhys but as he was 400 more and i had no word of his workmanship i went to this other place. seriously winds me up daily, not only is the paint **** its the wrong shade of black pearl, and the filler blistering he was suppose to sort it still there. also overspray in places and just generally loads of little bits only an owner would notice. but we live and learn hey, and one day in the future im hoping to have enough money to give my car to rhys and just say, make it perfect/

The painter there is one of my closest friends! He painted my cage and my wheels and couldn't recommend him enough, the guy is a perfectionist! that M3 is ridiculous as well so much want!! How come ive never seen u at the local VW meets man?

are there any other options you know of? any other companies tat manufacture a similar item?

cba to read all the prior comments but i run 3000k hids, they project the yellow light, and as they are yellow no1 thinks they can be hids so ive sailed threw 2 mot's, i agree the blue light doesnt suit the rado, but the yellow i think suits the era. yer you may blind the odd person as you dont have aspheric lenses to accurately distribute the light but as long as you have them pointed down they arnt too dazzling for other drivers, main advantage is the huge amount of visibility difference! really do light up the road, be careful when buying hids though as there are alot of **** ones kicking about, as long as your spend over £50 your should be fine though!

thanks bro! putting it back in without scratching anything is going to be a whole lot of fun!!!! haha yes mate it is?? thanks for the kind words, with the current to-do list longer than life itself i often feel like giving up but its the appreciation from yourselves that keeps me going! I remember you sayin this? what was it you were not happy with? as if its the colour i intend to paint mine, if its the fit and quality then i may reconsider!

imo someone has replaced it with a LED or its a special LED one, because its about 10x brighter than mine
-
So, as title, cage and mounts are now fully painted, must add my very good friend has done an amazing job on the paint, its like glass!!! Doing the front brace crinkle red to inkeep with the red and black theme then its just a case of sourcing and painting the one piece scuttle panel to cover the wiper mechanism, any recommendation on where to get one would be most appreciated!

KEEP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for what youll get for it selling it just isnt financially sensible, wait about 4 more years till they've all been broken or scrapped and one in that nick will be more like 6k :D although everyone always disagrees. Also with the market as it is you can get a nice little 1.4 lupo or something these days for a few hundred ££

I was starting to think these were a myth, would straight up swap my car for this! These things are epic! awesome piece of VW history! not to mention what this thing will be worth in 20 years haha -
This does sounds like it could be an option, i just dont want to end up sitting high, it is not an option. this sounds like its guna be the best bet, im contemplating weather its worth sourcing ****ed ones, or just using the bottoms of mine.... Much prefer the speeds to the standard Recaros man! and these are getting trimmed in grey matching leather with black Alcantara centers so they wont be your average speeds None of this is an option, sounds like issues due to being to high, with this in mind i think using original corrado seats is guna be the way, as i will not compromise with things like hitting on the roof (although i have no back seats anyway) For what ive spent on this car im not guna skimp out on seats and have them hitting the roof, i want these bad boys on the floor. Thank you to all of you for you help! as always much appreciated and it was all very helpful!!!

Got these Recaro Speeds to fit, has anyone done something similar before? do you know whats available? Or any ways around this? My guy says you can use mk1/2 golf frames but u still sit high, so sit low you need corrado rail brackets? Is there anything on the market to help get around this? as sourcing some corrado seat runners is guna be a pain in the bottom? any information appreciated!!!
