since ive had the car its head a really stiff throttle cable. im used to it now, but when people drive it its always the first thing they notice, would be nice to have a loose one like in every other car ive driven, before i get the tools/wallet out was just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue?

yer, after they claimed they were un available i spend many many moons finding them on tinterwebs, then rang up heritage and said can you order me some from there as you need to set up a company account to purchase them, and since then they have stocked them. Not trying to claim fame or anything but you know, but of a coincidence! :smug:

agreed! why not leave bidding and feedback and all that to ebay and just keep the old for sale style on here. If it aint broke, Dont fix it!

Disagree with the first statement a C would run rings around a sloppy cupra hatch in the corners. Couldnt agree more with the second part though haha, IMO bin the G60 and get a VR lump, the VR can take almost anything you want to throw at it. Such an easy engine to live with and can be pushed to the high 300's on standard internals. Not to mention the noise a Vr makes, undisputed one of the best sounding engines around. VR all the way!

 Awesome stuff! So many people here there and everywhere bigging them up recently. saying what great cars they are, its these opinions and write ups that help to increase the value in the long run. still remains the majority of the negativity aimed towards them is from people on here. ha -

My other half has a 2000 1.4 16v lupo. the alternator has just gone so im in the middle of purchasing one, are all the alternators across all the 1.4 16v engine the same? or is the lupo 1.4 16v a specific one? as i have found a good nick one of a 1.4 16v mk4 golf? Also are they 70amp or 90amp. I will be going home later to remove the old one to find all this out i just thought it worth posting on here on the off chance someone might know. Many thanks
