i think the recipt is truthful as it was from the previous owner before the guy i brought it from and theres a stack of recipts from that same dealer for various bits. Whats the best course of action of things to check on the engine i drove it 80 miles to the show and it didnt burn a drop of oil it ran about 80-90c water temp and oil was around 100-110 in traffic if thats any good really dont want to break this but theres so much to do the list as follows new disks new speed sensor a couple of rust repairs ball joints or such to sort the handling and the performance the car pops and bangs quite alot so could it be running rich?

update took the corrado to its first car show had lots of good reponses and met two other owners which was nice anyway heres a few pics from the show and a couple of rolling shots the car is getting their managed to get the sump welded and it seem ok now, did an oil change at the same time but i still need a speed sensor and to change the exhaust. I have bad juddering under braking i think it may be warped disks also the handling is better but still not right you get to a corner and it just feels like the car wants to carry on and understear nothing like any of my previous corrados does anyone have any suggestions? on a seperate note the car isnt as quick as i would hope above 4000 revs it pulls like a train but below that seems to lack torque and just doesnt pick up that well to be honest given the choice i would much rather take my old abf 16v for a thrash is this just how the vr6 lump is ?

Pmd you fuz and leopan you can have first dibs on the exhaust once i have a new one fitted and im happy thanks Sent from my LT15i using Tapatalk 2

Is it a standard exhaust ? Or after market might be a bit small for a vr not sure Sent from my LT15i using Tapatalk 2

Hi guys my exhaust is ridiculously loud and im looking to change it for something quieter preferablly stainless anyone have anything ?
-
I would imagine you will need a shorter pickup if you shorten the sump its fine running a shortened sump as long as you keep on top of the oil level as my vr6 has one fitted and that runs an r32 pickup and the sump sits nice and high up out of harms way the cars supposed to have hockey puck engine mounts aswell but i have a late bonnet
-
Now sold sorry guys thanks goldie

If it shows symptoms as jim says only when hot it could well be the lambda sensor ?
-
The car is fitted with an r32 pickup which is shorter than usual to accomadate the shortened sump which leaks like sieve so i could just put a standard sump on but i would still have to keep on top of the oil level how much dickie Sent from my LT15i using Tapatalk 2

right update gave the car a good clean and she cleaned up pretty well the handling is so much better after doing the top mounts only issue is the car doesnt start that well it turns over fine but wont fire unless you give it a little throttle and then it will start fine anyone got any ideas here some pics the coilovers from when i did the top mounts pretty sure these are joms? not the aps as advertised the air filter think it needed changing ? now got to sort the sump as it leaks very badly when the cars warm

another update been an eventful few days went spent the day at good wood revival on friday had a fantastic day first time ive been and i hope to return next year more cars than i could ever imagine but sadly no corrados.Came back today and set about the corrado fitted two new front top mounts cleaned the coilovers up took the bumper of and realigned it fitted a spare splitter i had and put in a nice new air filter gonna give it a good clean tommorow and will get some pics up
-
well update finally got the spares wheels on and took the car for a good run the temps stayed good and it pulls very well but it handles awful compared to my previous car i think i needs new top mounts as the steering also makes funny noises and when you bounce the car the suspension stays in the same place does my diagnosis sound about right ?
