Key fob not working after taking battery off??
tentonhammer replied to Johnny H's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Is the bat ok in your fob? What about your 12V? As you were (no doubt) testing your lights you might need to throw some charge into your 12V. -
Temperature warning light comes on (flashes slowly) at start up and stays on for duration of drive. Temp guage is fine (I think) and gets no hotter than 90 degrees. Fan spins up as it should. Fault is intermittent - One day it continuously flashes, the next it doesn't? Done the basics, will look into this more on the w/e: Checked coolant level. All ok. Checked hoses. All ok. Checked dash warning indicator lights fuse. ok. Recently repaired wiring to ISV connector block, cleaned terminals etc. Car idles perfectly. Any ideas? Ten Ton

Still undecided about this. Although I must say I am leaning more towards a VR6 OEM at the moment mainly due to ease of fitting. However, my C's got a fairly hard look to it so I've got my eye on something else for the moment, something more fitting - I just need to confirm it will fit...

I'll have me some of that I think

Need to do this myself. Presuming you do this by removing the door pocket first. I'll have to check. Ten Ton

With the corrado almost 25 years old free tax would be nice?
tentonhammer replied to elliott's topic in General Car Chat
Presuming of course this source is credible - grounds for cheaper road tax? *dreaming of course* Taxed my 92' 16V 2.0 last week cost me £215 My girl's mum taxed her relatively new Skoda (hybrid I think) and it cost her about £50!? Older cars may drink but at least they're simpler to build. The amount of work that goes into making cars nowadays is mind blowing BTW Stone - Think I can see Frodo and Sam in those pics somewhere -

Falken FK452 or the slightly cheaper ZE912. Just as good as premium brand tyres IMO.

Don't envy you at all... Damn. Look at it this way - At least you can get all the wiring nice and tidy. Good luck! Ten Ton

I had this problem, unfortunately 90% of the British population don't own a drive or garage so even SORNing it is out of the question. We're forced to bite the bullet and pay over the odds for a car that is going no where... Good luck with it, Ten Ton

That really isn't alot at all, wow. My guitar is worth more than my car, how terrible!

Good luck with the trade in, although I doubt you'll get anything for it. Where have you got it advertised? Good quality photo's speak louder than words, frustrates the hell out of me when you see guys trying to sell they're sh*t and their photos look like they were done on a 10 year old phone... Ten Ton

MUST sort wipers - Had to manually wipe screenwash off of my windscreen by hand this morning before I drove away - it was that bad! Noticed this thread goes back some, from what I understand Audi TT Wipers are the way to go- Is this still the case? Are the Audi Wiper Arms & Blades year specific i.e 2005 - 2006 etc? No idea which arms & blades to order, I imagine they'll be a piece of cake to fit though - Can anyone help? Cheers, Ten Ton

Portent - Totally agree. I get this every time I put my foot on the gas. Even the missus admitted "that's one f*cking sexy car babe" although she doesn't like the ride much (rigid suspension - respectfully lowered, with low profile Falkens will do it) but she's not driving - I am Ten Ton

New uprated head light loom in and what a difference it's made! - Had to adapt it to make it work (bought off ebay). Turns out my old man and I can build a better plug and play one ourselves! Def worth doing this. Ten Ton -
Penfold - Sounds like you need a new hub mate
