Heard back from creation and their going to give me a full refund, going to go for the roose set from everyone's recommendations!
-
Sorry only just got round to trying to fit these hoses today, they did not fit, going to contact creation tomorrow and see if maybe they sent me the wrong set, but I can only assume they only stock gold ones...
-
Current part is in working order, just going through some future proofing at the moment, going to go for a new unit, but thanks for the suggestion!

Sorting out coolant system very soon, new hoses, coolant flush. May replace radiator as well, as can't anything in the history about in being changed. Looking for recommendations on brands for replacement, or wether it's worth a uprated aluminium part? No big power mods, seems to run at a decent temperature as is, just looking for good quality and longevity with the new part. VR6 Cheers

Apologies for not mentioning anything, but have been real busy, received the kit, showed it to a few friends and we're all happy with the quality of the hoses, can also confirm its the two oil cooler hoses which are missing from the set, but having a mocal oil cooler rad setup I wasn't too fussed about having these two hoses, haven't fitted them yet, or even offered them up to the standard set to check for fit net issues yet, but should have flushed the system and fitted the kit by the end of this weekend, at which point I can report back on any fitment issues

I have bought a set of hoses today, but won't be able to fit them for maybe two weeks, although will post some pictures of them when they arrive
-
Have spoke with the seller, and they say the quality difference between the bigger brands is unnoticeable, but then I wouldn't really expect them to say any different...
-
Think I'll be buying this full set on Friday, will update people with pictures and thoughts when received

Has anyone used any creation motorsport silicone hoses before? I'm looking at this set http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-CORRADO-GOLF-MK3-2-8-VR6-7-PIECE-SILICONE-RADIATOR-COOLANT-HOSE-KIT-H0169-/151848816187?var=&hash=item235ae50e3b:m:mA5ERq9eCvMhtSWAEkkNRlw and just wanted to know if anyone knew what the quality was like? or wether anyone has used anything from them before? Thanks

After a wiper conversion for the c, let me know what you've got

I'm after a silicon coolant hose kit for a VR6 9 or 7 piece is fine, would prefer blue samco, but try me anyway
-
I have a set of solitudes, all be it in need of a refurb? Wouldn't want much for them
-
Suggestions for uploading pics? Link to a photobucket or something?
-
No idea on price at all mate? Also what widths are the wheels? I have a spare set of solitudes that you could have whilst you get new wheels? Can also swap tyres let me know the details also pics would be great

Thanks for the info, will try this tomorrow! As for the MAF, the unplug test seems to prove that it's working. When I say lumpiness, I don't mean standard lumpiness, more of a wild hunt, will do things like sit at 2000rpm for a few seconds whilst idling and dip the revs before increasing when you press the pedal, the spark plugs foul up in about 30 minutes, but I have ****ty super 4's in there at the moment so have to 2 electrode ngk's coming tomorrow morning!
-
Well other then the fact that the idle is lumpy it does seem to be at the right speed other then the lumpiness, I'm just trying to find out if anywhere under 14 degrees is fine, or wether it should be only a couple of degrees under 14? Is anyone able to confirm this? Or a few people able to provide their throttles angles? Thanks
-
No idea what your on about here? I'm adjusting the stop screw, never mentioned a pedal or a sensor...
-
Thanks for the reply, mine was at 7 and now is at 8, I fiddled with it before when I did isv delete, but now with an isv back on, I'm trying to get it right, although I'm having idle issues at the moment... Pretty sure if I cranked it to 13, it would sit very high in the revs for an idle
-
I keep reading that the throttle angle on idle for a vr6 should be Thanks

Ordered new relay and fitted today with no luck, seems as though the problem is getting worse. New things im going to check: Injectors Coil pack (been repaired already) Does anyone know if a faulty injector shows up on vcds? Also i think ive read before that a feul pump that doesnt start clicking can be down to a bad ecu ground, cant seem to find the thread on it now, anyone know if thats the case? and if so where the ecu ground is? Thanks
-
Thats interesting, thanks for that i missed that, ordered a new relay and a non return valve, should be here Thursday Thanks

Hopefully I can bring this thread back to life a little, so since i last posted, in order they happened: Removed Clifford concept 50 (improved cold start time, first crank everytime (cold start)) - Checked fault codes (whilst cold) - 65535 DTC definitions not found! Please refer to vehicle service manual (looked online, couldn't see a thing?) - 01257 Idling Speed Stabilization Valve (N71) Open/short circuit to earth - 01247 Activated Charcoal Filter (EVAP) System Solenoid Valve 1 (N80) Open/short circuit to earth (Coke can has been removed) (whilst warm) - all the above - 00533 Idle Speed Regulation Adaption limit not reached - Bought and installed new ISV - Changed FPR After all this, it will start a little better warm, but as soon as i rev the car at all it'll will drop before it revs or drop so much it cuts out. Haven't been able to read the fault codes since as its a friends computer. Things i still suspect, - MAF - Throttle position sensor Any ideas? Thanks Oli
-
Yeh these have been changed pretty recently, I might have to look into them, see if i can read there values.
-
See mine is fine with cold starts, starts perfectly on like 2nd crank, I'm having trouble with warm starts, so I'm guessing either incorrect/minimal fuelling, or either cam or crank position sensor.
