  2. Interesting project swift kid, not c++ developer but objective c (iPhone apps) currently gathering together equipment to make a double din to go in the Corrado should be able to do full multimedia and read obd stuff, also planning on chucking some stepper motors in to try and control the heater matrix cables as well, it's always trying to find the time though... 3. Mine failed only on passenger door not being able to be opened from the outside Saturday just gone, passed emissions with decay installed, baring in mind mine is a '93 therefore emissions aren't as strict, something surround CTS seems to be at fault here, as I am getting the -49 degrees before starting the engine, but getting minus figures until the CTS is then ignored (i think) by the ECU about 5 mins in Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks so much for your help Dox, definitely gives me some stuff to go on, will be back when I've done some more investigation Thanks again! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. If you can get to measuring block 1 on vagcom, there should be a value there which represents the temperature the sensor is reading Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks, helps a lot! Do you know what your blue sensor is reading with engine cold on vagcom? I know I might be asking a lot... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Ah yeh sorry was referring to the forum you mentioned, been to that site a lot recently, it's only wiring colours for the VR6, unless I'm missing something? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I'm VR6 not G60 but thanks though Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. My dash one is yellow and four pin, the black one is stage three fan, is anyone just able to go stick a voltmeter on the coolant temp sensor plug? I wanna know if mine is getting the correct voltage or not, don't want to spend much more money on this problem without getting it fixed... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Count me in if there are any left! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. The connections are fine, and no don't think it's an earth problem, pretty sure it's connecting back up to the ECU fine, I think it's the ECU at fault, maybe providing the wrong voltage to the sensor in the first place Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Have checked multiple earths, but I've always struggled to find a comprehensive list of earths to check and what they relate to? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. If no one else closer is able to then that'll be fine! Do you have vcds? I have used a generic scanning tool on it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Anyone near swindon with vagcom? would love a scan. Can drive to you.
  15. Yeh, was on the app and forgot to check his sig for any info
  16. Ignore me then... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Battery light comes on to show the bulb is working (someone correct me if I'm wrong?) I would suggest it's a hot start problem which can have many causes... It's the current rabbit hole I'm down. If you can get vagcom/vcds then scan the car, check the fault codes. Things I would suggest is to make sure the blue coolant temperature sensor and the idle stabiliser valve is functioning correctly. Need more info on the car really, all my information is based on it being a vr6 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hello, Been having odd idle/start problems with the Corrado for a while now, and seems like I've changed nearly everything... Found a repeatable problem now which is: When car is first started blue ECU temp sensor is reading ~-20 degrees c. After ~5 mins and the temp sensor starts reading ~-10 degrees c. At which point ECU seems to stop reading value and defaults to the standard 77.7 degrees c If i turn the car off at this point and go to start it again the sensor is being read at the ~20 degrees c mark again, this is fine if the car is cold, but will profusely pump a cold start amount of fuel in to try and start the car even if warm, a fix for now is too unplug the ECU temp sensor to have the ECU default to 77.7 degrees c and the ECU start the car on a warm map. ECU part no. 021 906 258 AG 1993 VR6, coil pack, 6 pin MAF. Brand new blue temp sensor from VW (plus two others from euro car parts) Few questions: What does vagcom/VCDS read a blue temp sensor on ignition before the car is started? What voltage is supplied to the blue ECU temp sensor on a well running car? Is there anyway of checking these ECU's? or a company somewhere that can check them? Does anyone have a 021 906 258 AG i can borrow out of a working car? Will drive to you, closer the better, I'm Swindon based ( Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this this time!:bonk: Thanks
  19. Hello, I've got a generic obd reading tool, and my blocks don't seem to match up with the ones supplied by Ross-tech My 4th value on block 002 is reading 217 degrees c Now I either have a problem or the machine is displaying the value incorrectly or with the incorrect unit Anyone got any ideas on what this value is supposed to be? According to Ross-tech it's supposed to be air mass g/s 1993 VR6 coil pack Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. I modified mine by swapping the push pull cable for Bowden, and then modified the handle with the v brake parts from a push bike I had lying around, worked wonders, takes a lot of grief and hasn't moved a mm (I marked it with tippex!) Will try and get a picture later, but my memory is horrendous...
  21. Cheers jim, not even done 100 miles on my new valve, may take a while? Just guessing here...
  22. Ok guys, good ideas, can you buy throttle dampers new? Couldn't find them anywhere?
  23. Hello, About 2 months ago i was posting about really bad idle issues i had which were finally cured by a new bosche idle valve, however i am still having idle issues... The car idles fine, but then if any throttle is applied, when you release the throttle and the revs drop, they hang maybe 500rpm higher then they should for a few seconds, and then it will settle. When the car is warm, the same issue happens, but the revs don't seem to ever drop back to idle speed. I still have the error code '00533 Idle Speed Regulation Adaption limit not reached' and it always re-appears within seconds if it is removed. I have read the ross-tech and all the listed symptoms, but I'm looking to understand the error description better, what is the adaption limit? and how is it reached? Thanks
  24. Received my roose hoses yesterday can anyone confirm that the two hoses shown are isv to intake elbow and rocker breather to intake elbow? Confused because I thought they were just for coolant! Thanks
  25. Balls, sorry guys, seen this too late, ordered mine this morning because I wanted them for the weekend, very keen for getting the car back on the road...
