yeah long time, i still log in once in a while to read up :) it just my brother corrado playing up :( he been getting very annoyed and Ive been to busy to sort it out. So being a long weekend trying to sort it out lol how you been?
-
do you have a link as i keep find reset but not for vr
-
before changing was running crap and high idle once in a while codes have been cleared and battery was left off the car for a hour and still problems. I got a feeling that the lambda casing being crushed must have shorted something in the ecu

hello all i need some advice. This weekend got a new maf and lambda as both old and in vagcom lambda was coming up but still having a issue. with everything pluged in the car idles very high lumpy crap and overfueling still If i unplug the ISV revs drop runs lumpy If I unplug the TPS it tries to find a level idles nicely If I unplug the maf again tries to find it idle but if I unplug the lambda it idles perfectly in all situations the car drives badly doesn't want to rev and lumpy. one thing we found the lamda casing been crushed (i think from when they did the water pump) so contacts in side where touching. Not sure if this is any good info. So what i need to know is firstly does anyone have any ideas? and does anyone have the vagcom values for all sensors at idle and thru the revs Its a 1992 vr6 with the 6 pin MAF and coilpack. thank you in advance

Hello all well been doing a few jobs on my brothers and i thought i had found the problem with the central looking but sadly it has fixed it I think the issue is that the back of the fuse box. or maybe if someone told me what each colour wire should do i can go from there.
-
Hello all. Does anyone have a interior loom from a 2l 16v? Kind regards
-
i had a look but kadv6 posted it up but didnt see anyone reply hence I thought i would ask. I might missed it but honestly have looked because I know the other cheap coilovers have been disccused.
-
Hello all I know these going cheap on ebay and reading thru posts here people kind of like the notuning ones but what about these jamex ones? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Corrado-Coilov ... 240%3A1318 anyone running them what do they think?
-
passat w8 are nice cars but sadly not much tuning potential mine was 2.8 v6 supercharged which I got bored and now has a 2.7T lump in it :D more fo a sleeper (especially once I get rid of the exhaust system) and crap loads of torque :D
-
well hopefully tomorrow gsf will give him the right fuel filter damm cars lol
-
it always has sligh lump idle but he bought it knowing it need a service no does rev past 3000 rpm seems to be running hotter than before hopefully gettign it vagcomed tomorrow but not sure if you can vagcom k-jet cars?
-
well we where going to do fuel filter but gsf gave him the wrong one as for fuel pump it sounds the same as any other k-jet is there a way of testing it? as it does start up first time

Hello guys well a very good friend of mine bought a 2L 16v about month ago. pulled well etc. anyhow in the last week gradually started to loss power to where it can bearly get to 40mph now ive tried to search but cant find any specific to this. we gave the car a ful service tonight and no change at all any one has the same thing happen to theres? think of binning the 2L 16v ecu system and put the 1.8 16v one

thanx for the info guys I fully know the pain of the rear bais valve. I actually cheat. I can acess the rear nipple without jacking the car up. Not ideal but I can do it. just got to check which ABS sensors I have (with or without wire) and done :)
-
well both problems solved (kind off) firstly my ABS pump doesnt have bleed nipple but totlay different to my mates VR6 one im guessing ive got one of the annoying ones where it only come on 16v and my year. Also quickly bleed master cyclinder and i have pedal  but goign to do it properly with the preasure bleeder tomorrow :) Also found out why VAGCOM couldnt see the abs ecu. Wire at the back in the junction box had come out. All I need now are two new front ABS sensors oh and a lambda lol
-
Helllo I have only actually swoped out the engine. So i still have original hubs etc. Ive got to find these nipples on the abs pump and do them and going to try do it witht eh ignition on. The good thing you hear and feel a clitch from the pedal when you turn the ignition on so Im guessing ECU and pump are working. Only other thing I need to do is trace back the wires from the vagcom port and see what isnt connected. That should sort out that problem.

Hello all Well just finished doing a VR6 conversion into my 2L 16v corrado. Since starting the car ABS light been on. I have bleed the brakes several times and do not have any air in the system now. Have used a preasure bleeder liked used by mechanics. Went to vag-com the car today and wouldnt pick up on anything. Realised that the engine loom side was not pluged in (brown plugs with grey and yellow wire). Once pluged in, read engine ECU no problems. Now its doing the same for the ABS but I do not know I have unplugged the wires as the fusebox has been off. The ABS light on the dash is coming up and staying on so I am assuming the fuse for the ABS is fine and that the ECU is fine. Or could it mean the ECU is dead but still turning on. If I push the pedal all the way to the floor the car does stop it just has no feel at all. Anyone had this kind of problem? Kind regards alex

a mate of mine has a cargo vanette which I borrowed for a weekend and its excellent. Loads of room to lug stuff and pulled well. its been reliable for him (he actually selling it) only down side them not having turbo means its a bit slow getting there but def very good strong engines. Last of the old siple ones to run.
