Hello all some of you might remember me others well I use to own a corrado many moon's ago Anyhow been looking at getting a vr6 or something similar as a toy and been offered a corrado L-reg thats 16v originally but was half way thru putting a V6 4-m 2.8 engine in. Me personally I really dont see the benefit/against the amoutn of work need to running this engine over a nice healthy 2.9 VR6 engine. Now my dilema is owner wants to sell complete but I dont want that the engine. are these engines easy to sell? or does someone have a very nice 2.9 engine willing to swap? opinions welcome -
hello guys yeah thats my old baby (good miss her) and yeah they rare wheels compnay called proline i think i sent you a email the other week with the web link sorry for the delay

Corrado VR6 complete - Break it or ebay it ???
aposegil replied to swindon-corrado's topic in General Car Chat
Well if it helps ive got a 2500 miles VR6 lump sitting in my garage ( was rebuilt) otherwise a friend of mine has a 1.8 Jetta which he selling to buy a vr6 corrado but sadly he is not a fan of red :( -
just saw ur engine comment trust me mate its well easy to remove engine and atleast he be able to spray even everwhere.
-
kongo127 - de-polish i assume he means giving it a etch which means removing the top edge so the paint so new paint has something to stick to. If thats the case that is the proper way off doing it. like suggested strip the car to nothing u can leave the front and rear windows as srayer will have enough room and degrease as much before u go down to him i.e in the engine bay u also might want to smooth some things out in the engine bay as well ;) make it look ncie and tidy.

also there is a 500bhp mkI golf 16vT thats done 183 or is it 189 so for corrado and that speed is good ;) also have a look at one of my fav german tuners ;) http://www.ame-racing.de/dragracer/index.shtml check the 16vT that can do 10.85 sec's 1/4 mile
-
that is impressive wish i finished building my 2.1 16v Turbo :( oh well still got a 16v enigne and turbo flanges sitting in my garage lol Mig's (G-tuned) on this forum should be hitting that kind of top speed as well but for someone using G60 ECU and wiring with Audi exhaust parts is very impressive also 7000rpm for tuned engine is nothing ;) mine used to rev to 8000rpm no problems ;) (was fully balanced to the gram) I think from years ago there was a video of mine on AMD rollers and it just sounded like it went for ever :D still made 187bhp with ripped from enigne mount and gearbox mount, nothing to do with my carefully driving officer lol

Andi - got to agree with u after 80 it does come to its own ;) but that supercharger ads a good smach up the bum if u know what i mean lol p.s my exhaust system be up for sale soon ;) lol ReekieVR - the rx was a amazing car only prob and im guessing uve got a TVR looking at ur sig it doesnt have traction control and if u dont watch that right foot it will punish you for it. few guys on the rx forum written theirs off this winter just losing it on a bend thats how bad they can be. otherwise interior bit cheap but great car. If i get loads of £££ one day ill have one again and maybe a nice turbo supra.
