I agree with Gavin that the standard corrado pump are good enough to about 300-350bhp im my opinion talking to a few people But i did get in contact with a company that told me there is a bosch uprated pump we can put to our cars :D

All i would say is a good service does the 16v engine a world of good Start of by doing a engine flush (use some good stuff not cheap crap) and then put nice fresh oil and filter on Then get all the fuelsysystem parts off i.e fuel lines, metterring head, throttle, idle valve and give them a clean out with injector/carb cleaner Then do the airfilter change to a nice K&N and a few holes int he airbox which one of the guys on here could point u to a thread on how to do it and the car should be running great :) just to give u a example when i had the old K-jet fuel system on my car i decided to give the fuel system a clean out and the car idled 300rpm higher just because everything was getting through alot smoother :D just my 2ps worth and it should cost u no more than £60-70 including getting the airfilter

2.8 - 2.9 Differences - blown engine - worn out engine issue
aposegil replied to Storm's topic in Engine Bay
I would agree with Phatvr6 as VW are not that complex. I cant talk about the vr engine itself but i have been working on the 16v and 8v engine and learnt it all via freinds etc and its scare first time but once uve done it its fine and we have saved ourselves a crap load of money -
chris i keep missing you mate last night was good :D its just making me get more motivated to get my car finished lol

here is a guy that did it in america http://littlespiderdesign.com/vdub/5Lug/ as for the hubs i know a few that done it and the golf mkIII hubs have the correct spine as the vr6 ones are fatter as for the discs i know the vr one on the corrado are the same as g60 as g60 setup is identical except ones 4 stud the other is 5
-
mate mkIII golf gti front hubs and then use vr6 discs and rear vr6 disks job done

-
ill prob pick up one of these at inters this year and some nice 100% cotton clotches for polishing :D as for the longest record in clean the car Chris uve got a long way to catch me up :D 18 hours which included wheels off, seats out and some engine cleaning This year it prob be worse as ive totally Gunked my engine bay so more to keep clean
-
yeah ur totally right Everyone that knows me knows what i would put my engine through and ive got to say im very happy with the way its been built and they are built to amazing standard and was producing some very nice power :D The only 16v engine that lets it down is the ABA 16v engine found in mkIII range which is taller and weaker KR and 9A 9or 6A known in Audi's) are great blocks :D
-
oh ok maybe its down to the guy that ispoke to might have had a bad turbo which isnt common to hear but he said that after 6000rpm didnt have the pull anymore I did think about doing a 16v turbo as youll produce alot more power than a 20v can, as you can have more lift on the cam but its so much money and if your going to have that much power you might aswell have 4x4 to make it worth ur while, hence why i think that a R32 engine with twin turbo is a great way to go V engine configuration + 6 pot + 4 valves per cylinder and two very big turbo = Happy Days lol
-
you shoudl be able to do it as it still shows u the owner of the car
-
Try GPC in luton 01582728892

people have done it considering the orignal 16v turbo run a T25 on the exhuast side and that dies about 6000 rpm then a T3 on the exhuast side and having all the work done to it, it tends to start boosting at 3000-3500 rpm and will go until the limiter which ive seen at about 7200-7500 and having T4 inlet side that will creat some crazy boost :D and all in a front wheel drive car   :-P
-
First of all your better starting with a 1.8 16v engine as the audi quattor psitons drop straight in and are one of the best istons to have for turbo Secondly there is plenty of companies in america that do exhuas manifold and i would persnally go for a T3/T4 fully hybrid with 360 thrust bearings etc As for the g60 system yes you can run it but i would advise to run a second bank of injectors like most big turbo guys have and run it of a aditinal injector control whcih the likes of HKS Blitz etc make and worth the pennies. If set up correclty you shoudl see about 300-400 bhp all day long and ive seen 16v turbo produce well over 400bhp and still be reliable just alot of $$$$$$ has to go into it

Hello mate i have a Scorpion rear boxer tail pipe but my exhuast is custom made out of powerflow parts and scorpion so the fit is amazing :D My mate had the same thing done aswell and i personally think its the only one that suits the corrado the magnex one just about gets away with it :)
