Hello guys Last weekend when i was under the car doing the brake line change i notice my rear axle bushes had seen better days (well i was warned about them on my last MOT) Ive got a set of original VW's sitting at home and I was wandering how easy it eas to change them??? Im guessing drop the axle and swope them over ??? or is it harder than that?? Thank you in advance

for the rear quaters u have to remove the window which is very easy i should know mines been out twice now lol s for the rear screen and front windscreen u dont have to remove it the body shop have enough room to play with one all the rubbers are out :)

I have and have been running VR6 rad on my car and feck me does it make a difference Many a time on motor way temps would come down to 70-75 and around london 90-100 Even thrashing the crap out of it in summer and in traffic i couldnt get the water temp over 105 and the oil about 110 I also do have a 13row mocal cooler As for the fans I have two sets that plugs straight into the 3 pin wire looming of a g60, 16v or 8v one is the phatter fans and the other is the thin ones like the ones found on VR6's Ive gone for the thin ones as the phat ones will not clear my charger :( but lets see what temps it runs when I start it :)

Phat im no big expert on vr's but sometimes guys have lack of power etc and its due to sensors I.e lambda, hall sensor (think it picks up on the cam position and there is two of them)?? coil pack if urs is, and MAS sensor. Just a idea but im guessing u know all this already

mate u need to get something like the HKS APEXI controler that will fuel extra The g60 ECU isnt realt built to run against boost as with the charger its very constant and with turbo u can just adjust with a turn or a valve Also it will be alot safer for ur engine :)

guys i cant thank you enough for ur kind words even ive got to admit (and i know i sound big headed :roll: lol ) the car was looking great and its got me all excited about finishing it off :) yalan - i will post up tomorrow about the brakes which will answer all ur questions :D dinkus - i wish i had taken a pic of the before-after but i totally forgot plus my car having fresh paint on there it was not that much, BUT i did try a patch on my bro's black polo GT and my best mates black uno turbo (u see in the pic) and f-me it made a huge different it took alot of the white cloudy crap it had on the paint away, if i get a chance ill take a pic on both as i only did smal patches lol chris CORRADO - thanx alot mate, dont worry tomorrow when i get into work ill make one of those pics my back ground pic aswell lol steven_j_bennett - again thanx alot mate and yes ive change my front bumper as i will no longer have crappy fiber stufff on my car it just damamges to easily and yes ur correct those are DSP side skirts :). Well this weekend decided to put 110% into sorting the corrado out so sorted out few of the engine things colour coded a few things then the brakes nice 5.1 fluid and s2 calipers on there now also decided to give the car a zymold treat ment and can i say OH MY GOD THAT STUFF IS GOOD!!!!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock: :lol: :D here some pics for u guys http://uk.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/apose_gil or http://www.ajudge.plus.com/Alex/ ive updated my photo file aswell :D

well i got told to lower it down to 16psi so im guessing i better do that next time i go :) now i better get a good foot pump to pump them back up for when i leave also to take the sub box out :)

i have done it a few times the only recorded times i have at present is high 16's-17's when i went standpod and it had been raining in all fairness i did do it wheel spinning up most of it with tyre pressure at 32psi lol which i did get told of for having and this is with leathers and my ICE install in the back :D Im planning going back to do proper dry runs :D

guys how do u flush out the old fluid??? as ive changed my power steering pump to a g60 item now so i might aswell put the correct fluid in thank you in advance

not really my mates corrado handbrake always seems to sit higher than mine and this weekend we found out why Basically the metal plate that the handbrake sits on had been bent/pulled up over time and when he went to put the handbrake on this weekend it came off in his hand lol Once we removed all the trim we could see what had been happening over time

yeah and u can run everything in by coming up to mine lol ;)

ill have to check with my setup once ive fitted the S2's and see if there is any over lap but from the first "fit test" i didnt see any Also im using g60 discs and i know the audi uses 276mm as Yalan mentioned so i would guess that i wouldnt have that prob. Also Yalan yep my set came from Dan but if everything goes well with my install ill be getting more :) I would love to get porsche brakes on there as i did have GT3 ones but then i would need to get a different set of wheels and thats not happening lol

i have my ways lol ;) but i should have a few more sets of theses S2 coming also whats this 4mm gap ur talking about?
