  1. thanks kev, I'm looking at the 130bhp ones. I would like a 150 but can't afford one, plus the 130 with a re-map is good for 180bhp+ which should be plenty quick enough for a daily driver...
  2. the car I'm looking at has a chrome T and red DI, but the guy dosen't know what bhp it is..... dumb ar5e... so are we thinking its a 130bhp then?
  3. mine is a different neck to that, mine is so close to fitting, about 15mm away, when forced I rekon it will fit....
  4. phat, my filler neck doesn't quite fit the corrado filler hole, its about 15mm too short, how does yours fit up?
  5. Guys I got my rear lights working a couple of weeks ago and mine are tinted red but the light shines through orange/amber fine.... I used about 5 really thin layers and laqured it loads to get the deep finish. However they are still illegal as they don't reflect.
  6. I'm in a similiar situation cause my standard box won't last long at all... but 2.5k is a lot of money in one hit and therefore alot of saving......
  7. You need to fit 4 1k resisters before the ignition amplifier where the x2 wires from the management split to all 4 cyl, don't know why but thats what Mike at Jabba said I needed in order to get the voltage just right to the coilpack's....
  8. THE BEAST IS ALIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally I got it running on all 4 cyl's !! Man its loud, sounds like a scooby.. You wouldn't beleive what the problem was..... x4 1k resistors... thats it! Anyway booking it into Jabbasport for mapping first thing Monday morning.... all I need to do is get the brakes to bleed up and its almost finished bar a complete re-trim.... :D
  9. Hi, Just trying to figure out what size resistors I need on the management output to the ignition amplifier... And do you need x1 resistor per pair of cyl's or x2 resistors per pair, I have power going to cyl 3 + 4 only, which is a bit weired because 4 & 1 go togeather and 3&2 respectivly. My coil packs all work and I have a brand new ignition amplifier plus all the wiring is correct which must mean I have the wrong size resistors or too many of them. Those using a haltech set-up on the 20v what have you guys got - its getting really annoying now because only cyl 3+4 fire...grrrrr. Any help would be good as I would like to get this damn engine started properly today!
  10. I agree A Leon Cupra R all the way Chris.... They look so much better... then its down to jabba for a stage 3 for you my man... now we're talking... that will be nearly as quick as the lotus.... if not quicker in some places..
  11. just type anything into this searchengine and look how the results come out, funny.... Only 3 searches per hour btw... http://www.gizoogle.com/
  12. i had a set of 4x100 to 5x112 adapters as I was going to put some audi wheels on my car. They come in x2 pieces and are a min of about 24mm in depth!
  13. what about a 4wd corrado :D :?:
  14. I do have the matching latches, they worked fine opening and shutting the doors before I brought the central locking into the equation!! Might pop the old ones back on and see if that works...
  15. good work... are you keeping the car now????
  16. Hi all, Spent the weekend working on the C's electric’s, I'm pretty happy with the progress I made but I came across a couple of problems, I've fitted Passat door handles and I tried the central locking but the doors kept locking but didn't 'unlock', the boot was fine. I took the mechanisms off and modified it a little more because I thought the handles didn't open the doors properly but that wasn't the problem. I then unplugged the solenoids and tried to synchronise the central locking system, I did this about 4 times and it still didn't work. My question is - has anyone had similar problems or knows what’s going on!!!! It seems like the vacum isn't pulling for long enough and thus not unlocking the doors. Could I have a vacum leak or is it the handles and new mech being a bit stiff?? I did check both these areas but they seemed fine! I can't get the wing mirrors to work or the driver’s window either if anyone has any ideas on them; otherwise most of the other electric’s now works! Missing a couple of looms but that shouldn't be a problem. Any help is much appreciated!!! cheers Ben
  17. That turbo would quite happily suck a small child into it....!
