Really, so coilovers are good for hard rides aswell as comfortable rides. I have some bad roads (live in Norfolk) and with the mods I've made such as 1.8T conversion where the sump lies really low! I want to be able to stiffen things up (the car suspension not other things). Are Koni's worth the extra cash?? or are AVo's as good?
-
I haven't bought mine yet, but what do you guys think would be the best coilovers if you want a hard ride?? Are the adjustables any good if you set the damping on the firmest setting? Ben

biggerbigben replied to biggerbigben's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry alex, I was told that DSP were making it!! It looks awesome, why are they not making it!! Their bumper on their topless corrado looks crap, as LowG said ont he previous post, "it looks like a snow plowing machine!" Ben -

If I can find another place that might do it a little cheaper then I will get them done! Ben -

why do you need to make the arches wider? and why is it good for us 4x4 boys? -
i think those old skool Porsche ones look nice on corrado's, the 16" ones..

I almost bought a Mazda Rx-7 twin turbo, until I found out about the engine rebuild which is needed after a few 000 miles. I really like the Nissan Skyline R33 but then I decided to go mad and build a corrado which would leave all them standing..

The DSP corrado pics are here.. -
Hi all, What do you think of DSP's new demo corrado? And do you like their new corrado font bumper?
-
Thats not a bad price! I'd love a 6spd gearbox, but out of cash at the mo..
-
gearbox depending high 12's/low 13's.
-
Not really, because I don't know when I'm going to have it done! I'd like to think I'd have it done by Gti Festival for a bit of 1/4 mile action!
-
The 4wd is done, the engine will be complete by christmas (I hope), a spot of paint and some wheels then the interior and we are there!

Guys I have a solution - get a dehumidifier and install double glazzing!! Only joking.. my golf does it all the time.

Turbo, InterCooler, 6gear, 200+bhp, 420NM torque.... MOD!
biggerbigben replied to Jurgen TDI's topic in Engine Bay
Not sure what the pressure rating is for it as know one seems to know! However I have been told that it will handle upto 400bhp. A number of people have used them and reported that they do a good job. Its massive! 970mm width 300mm Height 50mm Depth with 38mm core depth The only down side is the plastic inlet and outlet pipes, but then I'm only running a max of 1.3 bar of boost so it should't be a problem for me. I suppose it was just easier to cut around the factory welds. Then place the new floorpan back in the same place. Allowed for better alignment and strength.

I went out and bought one mate just now. Got it for £140, not bad. Just seemed to be the best arrangement for the money! Thanks for the help! -
I'm always around mate... 8)

i might mate to be honest! I hate wiring, just can't get my head around it! I'm using the Haltech EMS, done most of the haltech sensors but how do I spline it into the car wiring loom.. ??
-
Mine is coming on slow. I'm only home at the weekends so I don't get much time to work on it. I'm still trying to wire up the ems at the mo and I'm trying to sort out a good intercooler. The merc one I looked at is not big enough, had a chat with Pace just now. I should have it all on the road by summer time. You do all your bits quickly! New backbox already, I only saw you on Sunday!
-
andy do you have any pics of your 20v install as I didn't really get a chance to look at it in detail because it was dark. Liked the sound of it when you burnt away!
-
I'll go along with that. I prefer the VR6 engine note but you can't have everything!

cool, cheers mate, thanks for your help. I'm really going to consider it as an option. To have that custom made one I mentioned earlier, made will cost over double the price of the Sprinter van one.
