  1. A turbo is a sensible upgrade for the 16v 8)
  2. ruffy, when did you get the VR? Hows the 20v coming along?
  3. Depends on a few things I think, including the size of the turbo etc. The dubsport mk2 had quite a big turbo on it as far as I remember.
  4. Thats very true, but I like the fact that you can drive it around under 4000 RPM as a normal gti as mentioned by CaiosG60 PWR, retain good mpg, not be too noisy etc but when you need the power its there! Anyway in my defence I'm using the IHI turbo which will hopefully spool up a bit quicker than that. Each to their own anyway. :)
  5. wow that vr6 turbo is awesome!! 20vt not that impressive on the gragh, however we know that it can perform! 0-60 in the early 3's and 11 sec 1/4 mile!! @ Gti international 03. You can't say thats not quick! I bet the VR6 t will be similar figures depending on whether it as 4wd or not.
  6. I got mine from Demon Tweaks and I know I paid over the odds for mine, but I ordered £180 worth of bits including a number off samco hoses yesterday and they have turned up at home today!!! Impressed. I rekon I could have saved about 5-15% eleswhere but the fact of the matter is that demon tweaks keep alot of stock on the shelf!
  7. so a 16v corrado must be around 1110-1150kg, therefore my 4wd corrado is going to be pushing 1250kg - bloody hell, might have to put her on a diet!
  8. have a look on http://www.vwsyncro.com might have more luck for one of them 8)
  9. syncro one is the same as the rallye...
  10. Sorry that was a European setup..forgot to mention that bit

    20v turbo

A lorry one I would think @ 500bhp
  12. Updated the site... http://www.dubland.co.uk For those of you who wanted me to keep you informed. Ben
  13. You can use standard golf syncro bits with a tuned g60 lump, that would be fine. The syncro rear axle is the same as the rallye. A mate of mine has run the golf syncro bits on his mk2 for about 1 year now with 350bhp and he has had no problems apart from the gearbox is on its way out, but then the rallye/passat g60 ones are crap as well. I'm going to have a spare gearbox in the garage at home, just in case. If you need to read up on what you can or can't do have a look at http://www.vwsyncro.co.uk - best place to research into it - thats what I did before I did my conversion. Ben

    20v turbo

i think thats overpriced too. would be fair for a tt225 though! it myay be overpriced but lets see you put the audi v8 in your corrado  Someone I know is thinking of doing just that :D :D :D :D
  15. got it sorted at a cost!! its different to all other in tank pumps.
  16. Good stuff, I'm going to order that setup so I get the bigger wiper blade for the drivers side. Can you remember how much you paid 'daves16v'?? Ben
  17. Hi all, I'm trying to get hold off a rallye lift pump, but its turning out to be a hassle, so i'm looking to buy it new. Can anyone help me out with the part numbers as I went into a dealer today and the pickup section of the pump didn't look long enough! Has anyone got a copy of ETKA that they wouldn't mind having a look at this for me??? I've been quoted about £70 for a 2nd hand one and by the looks of things I can buy ne for well under £100! I'm in a hurry as I want to get the car started in a few weeks time!! ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL!!! cheers Ben

    20v turbo

I can't beleive the going rate for the 20v these days is £1500! You could buy a good car for that! I got my 20v with everything for £750 in the summer!! You can get a audi V8 for £500!! 8)
  19. I've got a vid clip of this badboy C at a meet in the US, it sounds awesome!! I'll pop it on my site when my providers calm down about me going 150% over bandwidth this month! :D
  20. I have some more pics of that lovely C:
  21. I have a IHI powered 340+bhp corrado (well in theroy, not turned the key yet) and I am keeping the styling to a minimum, the corrado is a good looking car in standard format - why change it. This is what I'm doing/planning...VR6 bonnet, suttle alloys, smoothing off a couple of things maybe change the door handles and thats about it. Its up to you, but I would change the car to RHD, you can pick corrados up for around £400 or less if your lucky. You could maybe take advantage of that power and convert it to 4wd as well, like moi... 8) Just a few ideas that came to my head. P.S Don't sell it! Think of all the time and money you've spent on the old girl..and how many cars are able to overtake you!
  22. I've fitted a Haltech EMS - do I need an exhaust sensor?? If so, why? Ben
