Hi quick question for somebody who has got above. How long did it take from date of ordering for goods to arrive at your doorstep? I ordered mine on 26/07/04 and have still not received anything. That's nearly 3 weeks. I emailed TURN2 after about a week just to see how order was progressing but never got a reply from them. Fair enough I live up in Scotland but we are not talking extreme north here. I stay about 15 miles north of Edinburgh! Getting a bit worried now, $279.90 is a lot of cash.

Hi there, remember me? I was going to take your set of smiths chrome wheels but I ended up getting a set of Audi TT comps instead. They will fit your VR6 but you will need 5mm spacers on the back so you can fit the rear wheel centre caps on. I'm using the OE wheel bolts as there is still plenty of threads left(after fitting spacers on rears). You will probably need 205/40/17 tyres as mine came with 225/45/17 and rubbed at rear but my car is lowered about an inch. Here's a pic!

I've had 3 polo's. Cracking little cars first 1 a 89 F 1000cc, 2nd a 92 J G40, 3rd a 93 K G40. First polo was a feckin gem owned it for 3 years no problems whatsoever, built up my no claims bonus! Second Polo was about my 5th car, which was basically the car of my dreams. Lived upto all expectations very quick, extremely reliable and went like feck and also very rare! Third Polo was about my 12th car, knew it was cheap to run etc etc but the novelty had kind of worn off- been there done that sort of thing. Had Fords etc etc. So I'm now on my 17th car which is a corrado VR6. What I'm basically trying to tell you is buy it. VW 's are in a different league altogether 8)

My VR6 does the same thing every now and again. I have replaced ignition switch but it has happened since then. When my car won't start I disconnect battery for about 15 minutes and reconnect (resets ECU) and car starts straight away. Obviously the problem is still there but this could help you get by for just now. I think that some sensor isn't happy for whatever reason and is registering fault that is picked up by ECU. I really need to get hooked upto VAGCOM and see if anything is up. Anybody close by that can help me :?: You could try disconnecting battery for 15 mins or so corradowannabe surely worth a try :D

cheers phatvr6. Anyone near me have vagcom I could borrow :?:

Hi all thought I would put pic on of my sick vr. Running rough at the moment, taking ages to start then every so often will not start at all. Had a slight misfire the other day on full throttle but seems to have gone away? Disconnecting battery for 15 mins cures problem but need to get to bottom of it as problem is still there. Performance is never the same 2 days in a row, some days it absolutely flies other days it feels pish. Thought problem was supermarket fuel but present tank is optimax with some redex chucked in. Could redex be cause of problem? Anyone had similar probs? Any help would be appreciated thanks

Hi cheers for advice guys got my 205/40/17 toyo proxes today. 4 brand new delivered for £230 not bad eh? Fitting 5mm spacers on back and using same wheel nuts as there is loads of threads left after spacer fitment. Will put some pics up once everything is on. Thanks again for advice 8)

I've had a similar problem a couple of times. Basically car turns over but will not start. Disconnect battery for about 15 minutes then reconnect and hopefully it will start OK (resets ECU) , that's how I cure problem with my car (93 VR6). What type of fuel was used? I use Tesco unleaded and am starting to think this could be the problem although I do run it low on fuel quite a lot which probably doesn't help matters much. Fuel filter has been changed recently Going to try BP or Shell for a while and see how I get on. Did try Shell Opticrap but didn't notice any difference whatsoever apart from the price. :)

I changed mine on sunday took 20 mins to complete the job. Much better now and I don't have to wiggle my immobiliser transponder key about anymore as I repositioned the aerial. The only piece of trim I removed was the lower shroud around steering column. No need to remove wheel. Piece of piss !!
-
thanks guys spacers it is then. What size of tyres do you have fitted chris. I've got 225 40 17 all round.

Put about £15 worth of unleaded in yesterday at my local tesco. Jumped in car to nip along to shop tonight and it would not start, turning over fine etc but would not fire. This has happened twice now and I am convinced it is down to supermarket fuel. How I solve this is by resetting ecu i.e disconnect battery for about 10 - 15 mins then reconnect and it starts first time. Have tried running car on optimax for about a month and noticed no difference mpg, performance wise whatsoever apart from the extra cost although it did start all the time on optimax. Anybody else had the similar problems ?

so you don't recommend a little hammer action then mate?

Hi All. Just got my set of TT comps today. Bought them from Ebay without even seeing a picture, well dodgy I know! Wasn't sure what was going to arrive today but I'm well chuffed they are minted and look the nuts. :D :D :D :D They are complete with pirelli p6000 tyres all with at least 5mm of tread and I got them delivered from Middlesex to just north of Edinburgh all for £450. WHAT A BARGAIN!!!! The problem I have is, when fitting them the rear centre caps fall off due to the rear hub dust cap. Somebody at work told me just to remove dust caps but I'm not to keen. Thinking about knocking caps with a hammer to flatten them as we are not talking much to fit centres. Surely some of you out there with the same wheels must have had this problem at first. How did you get round this?? Any help appreciated. :D

:D On my way home earlier from work and this bright blue thing appears out of knowhere in my rearview mirror, as it got closer I recognised that it was a subaru impreza turbo but as it got even more closer realised it was a 22B (pink subaru badge and wide arches kind of gave it away) . So for a laugh I put my foot down on the next straight piece of road. F**k me how fast are 22B's ! I was upto about 110 mph and this guy was barely 3 feet off my back bumper and was obviously having to back off all the time cos all I could hear was his loud as f**k dump valve ! What sort of power do these things put out ?

cheers i'll keep that in mind :)
