Finally after being stuck at the dealer for a week due to the snow my new work horse was delivered today. My second IS, this is a 250 SEL with switchable paddle/auto box. Really pleased with it, now just got to sell my old Corrado. It the perfect antithesis to the VX220!!!

I agree I the Alpine. I have Bluetooth and iPod spec 133BT unit in my car, which looks like the ones on prev page but with a cd slot visible. Has multi illumination and the green looks OEM to the max in my view. The red in the pic is from the USB pen drive.

Worse than that, there's a fish pond under there somewhere!!!!!
-
Um... Mine went nowhere in the snow, couldn't get it up the drive if I'd tried!
-
H Sam, only looking to sell I want space and cash lol not replacing the car with another corrado. Cheers. Pete.

Cr will be garaged and moth balled until sold but ie reduced the price to 4k with soooo many spares you'll need a spare car to take them all away! Lol. Hi guys ive bitten the bullet and bought a new car so the vw is getting tucked up in the garage and put up for sale. August '94 car Flash red with black cloth. No wear on the seats AT ALL. Any marks in pics are dust or camera or something else. 2 previous keepers 84800 miles Mot to April '13 No tax at present only until the end of January. All history vw and specialist (serviced last in April) All manuals, documents, piles of receipts etc Both keys and fobs for alarm New windscreen fitted jan '12 New battery last summer can't remember exactly when New 4bar Bosch fuel pump fitted feb 2012 I have owned the car since aug '10 and the previous owner had it from 2001. Price wise I'm happy to negotiate on individual items but the options include: Private plate M5 VVX (car is M plate) Active Kenwood sub SW01 Alpine Bluetooth USB mp3 cd head unit 133BT (or Sony 5555) Alpine G series 5.25 components and 6x4s 17" Speedline Challenge 2110 OEM wheels with 6mm+ kumho 39 tyres (or 15" originals all decent tyres, one like new) BMC CDA carbon induction kit (or OEM) sounds fantastic with a replacement VW standard exhaust which was fitted around 2004. AMD ECU with printed dyno of 209.3bhp at flywheel, 167.2 at wheels at 5835rpm. Torque 199lb/ft at 5072 rpm. Recaro seats on custom corrado subframes Car will come with the 288mm brakes and weitec coilovers due to the hassle in removing them. OEM speakers and suspension can be included. Recent engine mount upgrade to the group buy poly mounts and a rubber gearbox mount. Lots of spares and tools. Including:- HT leads and removal tool Spark plug removal wrench for deep seated VR6 plugs Crank sensor Cassette tape holder BMC panel filter VR6 boot badge Like new alloy spare 15" For the car as-is and all spares etc I'm looking for £4000 After the coilovers were fitted the car had 2 geo alignment sessions at Dave Coe rally specialist in Swansea and is spot on. Engine is quiet and uses no oil at all, moves steadily up to around 106 deg and never higher. Lovely overrun pops with the remap too Clutch is crisp with nice bite though if I'm picky there is a littel slip and the throttle cable could do with a grease. The gearbox is smooth and pull is strong and never pops out or anything nasty like that. All the electrics work, inc sunroof tile and slide, spoiler, abs light etc. Alarm has total closure to sunroof and windows. Car had a full respray last year due to a shopping trolley bump and because I was itching to get it done. Work was done by Customagic in south Wales who are a full respray specialist and took out the glass and all outside trim etc. Not a dirty blow over lol. If honest the paint needs a polish as there are some machince polish swirls on the passenger wings but an easy fix I just don't trust myself to do it and it's not bothered me enough to get it detailed out. Nice to see a red corrado that's not pink lol. Im sure I have forgotten something which will come to me later, so feel free to either pm me or give me a ring on 079-555.436 48. I'll put some pics up here but more are on the build thread and I can email anything specific. Sold so mods can you please close cheers.

I used to run the smaller ones in my old M3 and they were fantastic driven with a JL amp...
-
Purely subjective but this (being biased) Blackberry would be my fave colour in fairness.
-
I feel like this at the moment. Now I've fitted the coilovers and poly engine mounts the car is a bit too firm for me, and offers not a lot of respite from my vx220. I few mates of mine have jaguars and Mercs etc and as I near 40 I want comfort more than ever. Put the car up for sale earlier this year and changed my mind as I'll get sod all back from what ie spent on it, but I may put it up for sale in the new year...
-
Yeah he is on 01792 654842. He's really tidy, feel free to mention pete with the red vr6 as he's done my servicing for a few years now.
-
Likely to be the mounts. Standard are fluid filled which might move, or maybe they are aftermarket polyeurethane which also make clunky creaks when cold. Does the noise go when the car warms up?
-
Hi Paul, Swansea here. I use kingsway vw specialists in townhill. Andy is great, knows his stuff and is vfm. I would be up for a local meet too.
-
I did the same with mine, much easier, neater and simpler to reverse.

Some of the cars online are way overpriced. I would set a budget, maybe around 3500 or so for a good sub 100k mile car. Adverts on autotrader and pistonheads for cars at 5,6 or even more are dreaming unless seriously valuable bits are included. Have you thought about a project if your mechanically handy? Get a standard car with a good body but sky high miles, ditch the lump and fit the BAM vag turbo 1.8 and 6 speed box, which you can chip to anywhere upto 300+ bhp and the handling won't be as nose heavy as a vr6. Only downer is you don't get the v6 soundtrack. Cheap cars are under 1k, and if you DIY the econversion your probably going to be under 3 all finished. Add a Respray in time and all the other things you might fancy and you'll have a show winner for 5 or 6 maybe, done over a timescale to suit you and the budget???

I post as pete-r on there. My only advice with a corrado is that at 25k per year you may end up straining the car quite quickly, bearing in mind they are heading towards 20 years old. I find mŷ car is really robust, and the ability to work on it myself is a huge bonus. Most modern stuff is all laptop this and that etc. If I were you I would keep the mini to use as a work horse, use the vw for weekend fun and keep the Vx for sunny days and track work, ESP in supercharged form. My Vx engine is standard bar a carbon Maxogen and a Larini which in fairness sounds divine. I have instead gone for corner upgrades and the car has the obligatory 16/17 TDs in black, r1r tyres and mintex 1144 pads. On a track day I did last august the turbo cars we pulling in a straight line but in the dry my car was all over them in the bends. And that's on standard suspension. I fancy supercharging but the biggest concern to be honest is losing the Larini popping. The car sounds soooo good as is, I may regret it when I'm not on full attack which is most of the time. ITBs, cams and headflow etc could be the way for me and I could do it myself over time.
-
Hi mate and welcome. You on the Vx forum too? I find the combination of a vx220 and a vr6 works perfectly for me. Are you selling or keeping yours? 1st post says your going to s/c it and next your selling - in the space of half an hour lol. What cams do you run? I've been considering options for mine including DIY s/c or just simple NA tuning!
-
Any rust, holes or blowing on it? Also what kind of sound does it produce? Cheers.

Could be an auto, only 10 of those I believe.
