Replaced the starter motor and fitted a shiny vr6 engine cover, went for a drive....tried to open bonnet to check oil.... cable snapped! -
Oh Dear..... why do they feel as though they even need to try?

Yeah, afterwards when I thought about it I realised my part in the cause of the near miss....if I'd let him pass earlier it would never of happened -

Had one lad in a BMW series 1 get angry I had overtaken him on an fast A road, sat right on my arse at 80-90 for a couple of miles. As I slowed down as we approached traffic he spotted his chance, committed to overtake me and all the traffic into a blind bend, as he did two cars came round the corner, lots of tyre smoke and sqealing tyres as a head on was only just avoided. Sometimes I think bhp should be restricted for younger drivers (or those with too high testosterone levels! ) like it is in bikes -
No you just start a DD and that's it. As before if you start mid month you have to pay for all of that month

I cured an annoying squeaky, rattly tailgate by undoing the four bolts that hold it on and realigning the whole thing, it was a bit of a faff but those few silent miles after were priceless!

My Vr and the 8v had the rear bracket, the Channel island breaker did not and there was no real difference in how far the rear pipe stuck out stuck out Have you got a pic Lee

Went in to Halfords last night to look at them and there were just the two boxes in the bundle, I came away to have a think cos I reckon £400 for a box just to keep your tools is a fair wedge, got an Email this morning to say the middle section now included for no extra cash sold it to me. I would have been well miffed if I'd have bought it last night!
-
I couldn't resist at that price

Seriously though I spent a few mins looking over the MP1, it really is more like art than engineering

Barton in Staffs yesterday, went out in the tdi for a pootle, parked up, when I came back this was there. Last Summer I parked up my VR in a pub just down the road, quick backward glance confirming my car was the nicest there.... then in rolls an Aventador!

Especially when there was an obvious reserves list.....if any where not wanted?? (Me being at the top!) -
If you are unsure of the true colour of your car take off your petrol flap and take it to a specialist motor paint supplier, they will then match it exactly and mix some up for you. I learnt the hard way when I bought paint matched to the code in the boot and sprayed part of a wing and a door to then find the paint didnt match. Turns out the car had had a cheap respray in a later VW colour

Received the tools direct from http://shop.osmw.ca/vw-audi-extraction-tool/ Used it to repair a connector block and it works really well!
