Cheers Kev, at that price I'll have to wait. I need to get that KR inlet cam fitted that I bought from Flusted. Speed before shine
-
They could have been saying 'look at the mess he's made of his Corrado, what a shame'
-
But you still look at it in the rear view mirror just in case you miss something :)
-
common as muck

Kev, where can we find Swissol and how much? Dave
-
You got any pics of these on your car?

Made up some ali spacers at work cause I wasn't happy with my OZ offset of 37. They're only 5mm thick but I can tell the difference visually. Bought 5mm longer bolts from Trackstore - very helpful people. I had the edges polished, looks quite good I reckon :D Dave
-
I'll second that :D
-
I'll see if I can knock one up this week that looks somewhere near. I'll post some pics.

Cheers Olly, that's a great start :)

Took mine down to my local garage for a small job and the 'mechanic' didn't even know what he was about to work on :?

I'm lucky enough to work at an engineering/manufacturing company geared up to making this sort of thing. I'm trying to get a few ideas together so I can make the 'mother of all sill plates'
-
Anyone got any pics of their sill covers? Dave
-
Was there a photo/details of a rear axle bush fitting tool floating around on here somewhere? I need to change my bushes and was thinking of making up a tool at work or several if anyones interested. Dave

Crikey that is LOW  -
17" on my 2L 16v did make a difference, it was slower. When side by side the 17" stood about an inch higher then the 15". I've got 16" on now, it's better.

It's edge protector, the sort used on sheetmetal edges. We have it at work and turned out to be just the right size. Not having bought it before I can't say for sure if it's available at DIY stores. I would think you can pick it up at somewhere like B&Q. I think Halfords sell it too. The only thing is it needs to be about 5mm deep and very flexible to go round the aerial base. The thickness of the rubber also needs to be about the same thickness (about 1mm) as the old rubber boot, the bit that presses against the roof. If not, the roof beneath the aerial base may deform slightly when you tighten the nut although you probably wouldn't see it. Sorry to go on a bit but I think these things are important. I only did it because we had just the right stuff at work. If you are local to me I'd cut a length off for you. I suppose I could post it. Dave

Aswell as the usual supercars I'd like to get my hands on a Delorean...........I have a soft spot for Back to the Future :D

Photo's of my old aerial with 'new' rubber boot......cost = £0 :D

poo......don't spoil the C's beautiful body 8)

That's precisely the reason for my post. GSF do a replacement for my aerial but the pusf-fit connection is different so it means completely changing the cable right down to the head unit. So...........I've removed the rubber seal and relaced with flexible edge protector (we have miles of it here at work) and glued it in place. This actually provides a seal against the body work and looks good too. It may not work but it's worth a try. I'll post some pics when done.

Maybe it was someone wearing a Burberry cap :D

I guess it's a good starting point. Thanks for tips :)

78k. I was told by C & R about 6 months ago the rear axle bushes were worn. Tyres haven't been mentioned in any replies..........any thoughts?

OK, weaving is correct. The car does NOT pull to one side in the case of a dodgy caliper. There is no pull feeling through the steering wheel, the feeling is felt through the whole car. It feels as though the car is drifting one way then the other but only very slightly, you probably can't see it if you were to look at it from the outside. The wheels are NOT locking up either.
