  1. my poor c didn't run for nearly 3 months last year, started out to be intermitent starting then died as i got home. i had 6 people out to look at it, had the new alarm ripped out, before towing it to a local electrical guy, he fixed it in a day, ignition switch burnt out, £110, but then £600 to get a new alarm fitted.   but i'm gald i did, remote start window venting boot release blar blar 8)
  2. i had enough grief getting just one wire through the tail gate, gor the remote boot release. i'll be buggered if i'm going to spend all day threading through ten of em. i'll snip em in the roof, giving me plenty of room, or i might just leave it on  i riped the rear black number plate thing off yesterday, got myself a sheet of steel, 8th gauge 27.5"(i think) and 7" deep. weld it on and smooth it all over, oh and cut out the wiper hole properly and weld a plate in, that grommet looks funny.. all of course if i dont cock it up.
  3. so.. how do you remove the tailgate, the mechanics of it look simple but what about all the wiring, is there a plug that disconnects or have you got to pull all the wires out.??

  8. yep that was the way i did it,except i used the drill to cut through the rubber, just wind the drill bit round, then hacksaw in to places, then chissel the old one out, getting them in is a nightmair, i bought a halfords 2 arm pully it get the new bush, and i would never do them again, not with out the correct tools, the pully broke just as the last one went in, .

  10. right heres some pics, it all took about 5 mins, and yes remove the bracket be for you attemp the removal. i hope this helps any one. the remaining hole can be covered by a blanking grommet painted body colour.
  11. i painted mine also. althou i didn't take them off. also painted head light surround, grill wing mirror surround and removed nd painted that roof trim, all black and lacured. i got fed up getting polish on them.

  13. i'm going to tackle it today, i'll get some pictures of the 'hole' (ha ha) operation. i got carried away yesterday, i took the rear bumper off to smooth over that funny ridge that runs round, half way down, and ended up welding up the holes after my 'corrado' badge started to fall off. i might weld the arial hole as well. i've got to get it painted now anyway.

    audi handles

right, i'm sure this has been talked about befor, but before i chop my doors apart, how do you go about grafting i the handles, i can weld and that but i dont want to fook it up, and i've asked a couple of local sprayers and they've looked at me funny. " you want to do what, cut the handles out then weld in new ones, .. why" stupid people. has any one bought those kits from venom, and how accurate are they.?
  15. my gear box is held together with a bit of gaffa' tape . on a more serious note, a small bracket amd a self tapper into the inner wing, note: this was not supplied by jabba sport, they let it float about scratching the paint work, gits.
  16. here. althou they charge a lot for it, you could buy the filter seperate the get the adaptor from darren and hose, bit cheaper but, hassel. good quality thou. mines a bit dirty, it has been on for a couple of years now.
  17. fronts require a 20 ton press, no really..! and it's often easier to buy new wheel hubs, ( the spinny bit which the wheel bolts too) as these are inexpensive and make the job a lot easier and cheaper if you getting someone else to do it.
