I live in Canada and Live in the Province of British Columbia :D Maple Ridge, unless I'm mistaken? -
You're blowing compressed air into a sealed box and there has to be a way for the pressure to be released without taking the sand with it. That's done through a hole in the back of the cabinet with a filter attached.

+ a K&N Air filter & you'll gain upto 20hp!!! Its true!!!

Spanners. Ignorance is bliss. -
What wheels are those? I have a vague idea I've seen them before.

I saw one in Norwich a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't that impressed until I saw the recent reviews on Top Gear etc.

Corrado 1.8 16v; 37,000 miles. Whats it worth????
bcstudent replied to TROOPER88's topic in General Car Chat
I think it's like anything else, to the right buyer it may be worth much more than you expect. The problem is finding the right buyer for a low mileage 16v. If I hadn't seen the problems Jimmy is having getting rid of his 16v press car I'd have said £3k+ wouldn't be unrealistic. -

I can't really see it being worth much more than you paid for it to be honest. As mentioned, when you're up against two grand VR6s I imagine you're going to struggle to shift any 16v in that price bracket. You can sell £500 16v Corrados all day long, but the market seems to become a little stale at two grand. -
I would definitely be checking the fuel pressure. The K-Jet system runs at a pretty high pressure, being little more than a glorified stirrup pump, and a weak fuel pump or blocked fuel filter will rob you of your power.

Yeah, Passat and Corrado only I believe.
-
New pants please! Awesome recovery.

My fuel usage has decreased since I bought the Leon instead of the 16v Corrado. I get a couple more miles per gallon AND have a fair bit more power available. Win win!

Does this car belong to anyone in this forum?

I can't say I recognise it from the forum. Looks nice though! -

My Leon is now sporting a hefty dent in the front passenger door, thanks to some nob in the Halfords car park. I'm not sure if it's stupidity, ignorance, spite, or something else entirely. Morons.

Glad to see I'm not alone :)

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that special editions aren't really all that *special* these days?
-
In a nutshell, the 1.8 16v front-pipe is very restrictive. If you can afford a full system, get one.

Does he keep the bike in his living room? Respect!

You called? Check my signature to see that I'm far more interested in bikes than cars...

Well, no more ragging it around Tescos roundabout for me...

Christ. Anyone want to buy a Leon Cupra? I'm getting a push-bike. -
It's clean, but it's not *mint*. Up close you can see the odd chip here and there, plus the usual swirls in the paint. The bonus is, as the only previous owner was my mother, I know the car has nothing to hide. It doesn't look half as cool as the Corrado though.

Yesterday marked the end of my time with the Corrado. After accepting to buy a Seat Leon Cupra at a rediculously low price I needed to make room, and that meant selling G382 YMG. After four years of ownership it's strange to watch someone drive away in your car. The car has been sold to a forum member, so I can rest happy that it's gone to an enthusiast. Cheers Dec for meaking the sale so straight-forward. This is what replaces the Corrado (for now)...

That really was quite the bargain. I'd question the rebore to 2.3 litres though...
