    wtf

I was thinking "it's really not that bad"...and then I got to the dashboard pic.
  2. Awesome stuff. Some crackin' pics there too. Nice one.
  3. Neither did I. :nono: Maybe you misunderstood. read it again.. I meant the GSI was much better in its handling and performance. 127 mph top end of the monty is no comparison to the 140 mph of the GSI!! I understood your post perfectly. It wasn't you I was replying to. The Cavalier GSi is certainly one of the cars that reminds me of good times in the '90s.
  4. All very well, but neither would go round corners :) I never had any issues with the handling of the Cavalier GSi. In fact, I'd even say it was a pretty decent-handling car even by today's standards. Certainly not deserving of a Montego comparison anyway.
  5. My mate had one when were were much younger. It was an utter piece of crap really and wasn't even that quick. The sunroof panel flew out and disappeared while we were driving along at about 70mph one day. It was one in a long line of crap cars he owned, with the Renault Fuego Turbo being at the top of the list of shite.
  6. Things have certainly moved on a bit since then, eh?
  7. I sold G382 YMG to a forum member in late 2007 never to be seen again. I kind of assume it eventually got broken up as it wasn't in the best condition. That car was good to me. Some closure would be nice :)
  8. I sold my Corrado three years ago but I'm still here...and I know there are many more like me. There's far more to this forum than single-vehicle ownership :)
  9. I wish I was able to say I'd be able to afford one if they made it...'cos I love it too.
  10. :brickwall: I work with Windows every day.. that reputation should long since be dropped. I agree. The majority of Windows crashes are caused by piss-poor third-party applications and drivers. Since there's a mention of VB in the article I'd assume the whole thing is built on a Windows platform.
  11. do you know when the law is set to change? i'm looking to do the direct access course around march/april next year... (also looking at getting a gsx-r 600 round about a 2001-2003 plate for the record) I don't know exactly. In fact, I can't even find any information about it now. I read about it a few months back - it was a system with four engine-capacity tiers and it would be a complete nightmare to any new riders under the age of about 25. It would suck if it became a reality as it would definitely put a lot of young riders off. Lets hope it was a load of rubbish and will never happen.
  12. You're right about getting the bike licence sorted sooner rather than later. The law changes again soon and it'll be a complete pain in the arse when it does. A bike licence is something you'll definitely not regret.
  13. For the driver of the dark-coloured, private-plated 'M'-reg Corrado that followed me from North Walsham to Coltishall this evening...TURN YOUR SODDING FOG LIGHTS OFF! It's not foggy and they're damn bright. Oh yeah, I'm sorry you couldn't keep up chap. If I wasn't being dazzled from your fog lights I wouldn't have been forced to leave you so far behind.
  14. I didn't know you were a member on here Mark. That white Corrado was a real beauty; it was the reason I bought one in fact. It was never going to be as quick as that pesky GTE 16v but what a looker.
  15. I know a guy that had a directional tyre fitted backwards on his Astra. The road noise was unbelievable but I can't recall if there were any other issues. He didn't really have it on backwards for long enough to test its performance.
  16. Obviously, the sensible choice would be house now, car later. How old are you?
  17. It doesn't look like a lot of that £5k was spent tidying up under the bonnet. There are way, way better Mk2s out there for way, way less.
  18. It would actually be worth more as scrap. Bargain indeed.
  19. I thought that the G60 WASN'T an interference engine, i.e. in a standard engine the pistons and valves can not touch. Fit a new cam belt and turn the engine over by hand. If it seems ok then try and start it. You have very little to lose. You'll definitely want to be changing that bottom-pulley bolt though, as already suggested.
