  1. Nice wheels but, yeah, that redrilling job is rough.
  2. The Leon can't be boyracerish; it's got five doors :) Who says that's me in the avatar pic?
  3. No. It's less "boy racerish" than a Golf, in my opinion. In standard trim the Leon Cupra isn't a great handling car either (much like the Golf). It's ok, just not great. Also, in addition to the cost of buying that Leon, you'd be very close to a few hundred quid for a cambelt and water pump change. I love mine though. It goes very well and was a heck of a step up from my 1990 Corrado 16v. It's not a decision I regret but I would have a Corrado VR6 as a second car if the right one came along.
  4. Blimey. Are you aware Jim, that's the second time this week you've agreed with me? It's a slippery slope.
  5. I have no love for the steelies. I never have.
  6. Remap your Leon if you're looking for a bit of a change. It'll feel like a different car.
  7. As far as I'm aware, the 225 engine in the TT and S3 produces around 220-odd g/km. That keeps it in VED band F, meaning in 2010 you'd still 'only' be looking at £245. The V6 models are in the higher band. The same 225 engine in a lighter, 2WD Leon Cupra R only produces 211 g/km. However, none of this is relevant as your car will be taxed based on it's age from the date of registration.
  8. Are those Boyd Coddington wheels? I've seen at least two sets fitted to Corrados from this forum in the not-too-distant past. Not my cup of tea at all. *EDIT* Are these the same?...Click
  9. How about dropping in to the 'ring on the way back up?
  10. It doesn't *look* fast. That's the best sort of fast! What engine does it have?
  11. I'd love to buy the whole thing for a 20vT conversion. However, I only want to pay the minimum...and that's not going to help you!
  12. No, none of the Mk1 Leons on the UK market came in white. The pic I posted is a Leon Cupra
  13. The 4-Motion wheels look a little small, but I like the style the best. I expect more votes will go to the TT wheels though.
  14. Just downloaded the ROC race, but no nation's cup unfortunately. The Fiat 500 Abarth looked bleedin' brilliant...and sounded pretty decent too.
  15. They did sell them in white, but not on the UK market.
  16. Well, that got my attention!
  17. A few people on the Seat Cupra forum have them installed and give good feedback. I reckon they're way over-priced though. I find the throttle response of my Leon to be plenty sharp enough since the remap; that didn't cost much more than the Sprint Booster and provided an extra chunk of power too.
  18. Yeah, it's major damage. Not enough to force it to be crushed, but it should be used for nothing more than parts only. I think.
