Cazza's Storm- Gone :( ...S3 Has Arrived! :)
bcstudent replied to CazzaVR's topic in Members Gallery
Yes, I hear good things. I'm a little undecided on what sizes to go for front and rear myself. Anything I can do to make the Leon handle a little better without resorting to lowering it will be a bonus. I swore a long time ago I'd never lower a car I use on the road again. -

ARBs will be my next, and probably final, mod. -

Those Split-R DVs are a terrible idea. I know what you mean about the 007P 'clang' though. Mine is currently backwards as it's the only way I can get the engine cover on. The DV sits higher with the Forge TIP. -
true true. :bonk: Except when it's in a pressurised system, of course. What pressure is the expansion-tank cap set to vent at?
-
Sounds like a complete coincidence to me. Don't sweat it.

The English in that advert made me weep a little.

No longer the student then? Nope. I have been free from those shackles for a couple of years. Dealing with the so-called credit crunch when you have a decent job is considerably easier than paying for an education without a job, I find. That's probably the reason I feel better off now. My student loan is going to take a few years to shift though! Yes, but we all know that the government are the only ones that really win out of the high fuel prices :bad-words:
-
What credit crunch? I've never had so much money. Of course, that just means I used to be REALLY skint!
-
I used a normal socket and a pair of mole grips to turn it. Worked a treat also.

Would you really choose the exact spot you gained control of the car to stop, having just been completely sideways? I mean, there's a good chance that the next car could do the same but not be so lucky. It'd be a real shame to make a save like that, then get wiped out by the next car doing the same thing.
-
When that car went sideways I couldn't see any way it was going to end well. I can't believe how calm everybody was. I'd have been going "AAAAARRRRRGRGGGGGGHGHGHGHEGEHEHEHEHEH"...or similar.

The mods won't like this! http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=72310

So that's 187bhp at the wheels then?
-
Does this mean the 1988 models were fast, or just uncool?

New amp & components - loads of interference - SORTED
bcstudent replied to Mark_Storm's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
I assume the amplifier isn't grounded to the battery directly? If not, try connecting a temporary cable between the battery -ve and the amplifier. At least it'll prove the point one way or another without costing you a lot of time. -
I thought that this car was tangled up in some disagreement of ownership between some dude and a garage that had gone bust...or something. It disappeared off the radar some time ago as far as I know.

It's likely you're suffering from electrical noise induced into the RCA leads from the power cables. Run the power and RCAs down different sides of the car. Since it's being amplified at the end, you don't need a lot of induced noise to cause you a big headache. * EDIT * What he said ^^.... :) -
Blimey, the Corrado is TINY!

Did you happen to see this week's episode of Fifth Gear with the Civic Mugen RR? Red car...black bonnet nostrils...hmmmm. I wonder if the Honda engineers read this forum...
-
It certainly seems that the gap between 16v, G60 and VR6 pricing has narrowed significantly over the last couple of years. I would fully expect to be able to pick up a lovely example of a Corrado VR6 for 3k in the current maket. It just depends if mileage is an issue or not.

You're lucky you've made it to 41 before becoming an old git. I'm 33 and feel like I've been one for a while :)

I have the mag in front of me and can scan the feature if that's allowed.

BMW 1-Series Coupe - What does everyone think ?
bcstudent replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
I don't know if I like them much in standard trim, but that one in picture is an absolute beauty! -
What variety of Corrado are we talking about here?
