Hi James, Did you recently buy this Campaign from the guy on this forum????????? Or is it another one of the 5 left?
-
I have just bought a Ice Grey corrado. So really think you should get another colour :norty: Only joking. Looks nice. Mine was in a bit of a state so got it for silly cheap.
-
thanks Cazza
-
Cheers mate, Well the inlet is actually prob gonna be powder coated. I have some funky ideas for the engine to make it stand out a bit, so watch this space. Also thought the breather on the rocker cover was a nice touch. More photos of progress coming :D

A 8 cylinder version of a subaru sti engine!!!!!! Yes I did just make that up in my head. One that currently exsist would be a W12 engine
-
Thanks for the heads up. :D
-
can anyone help with this one as i was going to try and take it off tonight.
-
Hello All, Just wondering how I remove this without breaking it? Is it held on with bolts? Thanks
-
little update. Car is in as we speak for it retest. fingers crossed. In the the meantime after the maiden head meet, I thought it was time to smarten up the engine bay. What do you think? It a work in progress at the mo.

The only thing with storms is I think they should of come with the electric leather recaros.
-
Have you replaced the 109 relay with a new one from VW? Reason I ask is that the relay part has actually changed now from the original. I changed mine recently, part only cost £14

Spotted two in twickenham White g60 in whitton high st. Red M-reg just outside whitton this morning.

I have done quite a bit of looking into this. The only items on will need for the very basic swap is mk4 golf rear calipers, not 4 motion ones. Also goodridge mk2-mk4 braided hoses.
-
Thats lucky, I have just got a brand new set of green stuff pads. So all I need are the calipers and braid hoses?
-
So in a nutshell mk4 rear caliper bolt straight on to corrado carriers. They use the corrado handbrake cable, discs and pads. The only extra thing you need for the very basic upgrade is mk2-mk4 goodridge braided hoses? Is this correct guys?
-
Im not sure about 280mm. This thread is for swapping your rear calipers to mark 4 golf ones. Reason being is the corrado ones seem to seize, as I have just found out. :mad2:
-
When you say rear calipers do you mean the handbreak mech or just the bolts, if it's the bolts then you should be able to free them up. Even if you do though they're still a pain so mk4's are a great alternative and weigh a bit less. You'd need calipers and carriers, and the mk2-mk4 hose that goodridge make as a special part for petrolheads like us :) Easy now Tom the tow and from bolts are completely seized. Actually snapped one off last night  So mk4s are definitely on the cards.
-
Hi all, Just resurrecting this thread. My rear calipers and the bolts that go into the carriers to allow the caliper to move back and forth have seized. Might as well upgrade to mk4 :D In my senario do I need: corrado vr6 carriers, pair of mk4 calipers, the bolts that move the caliper back and forth (or do they come with the calipers?) new hoses.

Hi all, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread to show little modifications that have help you improve the interior/exterior/engine bay etc. Hopefully a few pic of some so we can get some more thing on the knowledge base. For Example: I have heard that a nice cheap mod for the VR6 is to bypass the two hoses going to the throttle body. This is to reduce the temperature of the air entering the inlet mani?
-
What happens if you use rad weld on a VR6?
-
First start off with some rad weld from halford and check the hoses and joins for any leaks. There is loads of different ways the car can leak coolant im afraid
-
well if you like them keep them on. Im gonna have to agreed with everyone else and say it might be time of a change. Anything with a dish tends to look nice on Corrado. Little tip, Get a set of BBS bmw e30 alloys. They look like the BBS on corrado g60 but are wider so give a better stance.
-
yeah I dont know why I didnt check them. But then again I was pretty busy aquiring two new tires, a windscreen etc  I wonder how long the list would of been if I put it through the MOT the day after I bought it! :D
-
well im afriad it fail the MOT too hot. Not bad things though. couple of bulbs out. Rear pads need to be changed, so treated myself to some green stuff pads :D
-
just bought my first corrado (pics attached)
